In recognition of the changing face of health service delivery for musculoskeletal injection therapy, RCSI is delighted to announce a new postgraduate module for healthcare professionals in this field. The aim of the module is to address the training needs of health professionals (doctors, physiotherapists, nurses) working in: orthopaedic medicine rheumatology musculoskeletal medicine sports medicine RCSI aims to develop knowledge, advanced reasoning and practical skills pertaining to the use of joint and soft tissue injections in the management of musculoskeletal conditions. The module will be delivered by senior faculty of the RCSI Schools of Medicine, Physiotherapy and Pharmacy. Content will include: review of relevant musculoskeletal anatomy principles of injection therapy techniques clinical decision-making pharmacology of joint and soft tissue injection therapy professional, legal and safety issues.
