ARISE Together in Christ Season IV - NEW HEART, NEW SPIRIT - Session 6 overview: New Creation. Focus for this session: "We are made new in Christ. Preparing for Easter as a new beginning. Living as an Easter people." Gospel Reading for this session: Ezekiel 36:24-28, New heart, New spirit. Reflection: "What newness of heart and spirit do you hope for as you anticipate the Easter Season: what newness for yourself, for your family, for our parish, for our world? How will you help to bring this hope to life?" Consider: "Plan to invite someone to join you for Easter dinner- someone who might need to share your new heart and new spirit." On Sunday, March 29th, all parishioners are invited to join ARISE participants for the last session of Season IV. ARISE Season IV groups will gather together at 2:00 p.m., in the Church, for "Holy Hour" of Exposition/ Benediction and then share reflections based on readings for session 6- New Creation. All are welcome to attend, observe and or participate. A little humourA Sunday School teacher began her lesson with a question, "Boys and girls, what do we know about God?" A hand shot up in the air. "He is an artist!" said the kindergarten boy. "Really? How do you know?" the teacher asked. "You know - Our Father, who does art in Heaven... " Sunday after church, a Mom asked her very young daughter what the lesson was about. The daughter answered, "Don't be scared, you'll get your quilt." Needless to say, the Mom was perplexed. Later in the day, the pastor stopped by for tea and the Mom asked him what that morning's Sunday school lesson was about. He said "Be not afraid, thy comforter is coming." Inner City Home of Sudbury is urgently in need of one or two volunteers who would be able to do light housekeeping duties. The time commitment would consist of one morning each week; either a Monday, Tuesday or Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon. If this is something that you would like to do to help to make Inner City Home welcoming to our clientele who use our services, please call Mary – 705-675-7550 – Monday to Friday

The National Catholic Mission 2015, “Beware the Holy Spirit!” will be broadcast on VISIONTV on Monday, March 30th (“God and the 6:00 o’clock news”) and Tuesday, March 31st (“God does not count birthday”) at 6:00 p.m. and repeated at 10:00 p.m.

HAPPY 60TH! To : Giuseppe and Assunta Cavicchiolo. Their wedding of April 2, 1955 in Australia will be remembered at the 10 am Easter Sunday Mass. Fidelity and love for 60 years is a sign of the risen Lord present in the lives of those joined together in Him.

HERE IS ANOTHER ATTACK!!! The Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons has recently voted to force Ontario doctors to give referrals for abortions and other immoral procedures. This decision goes contrary to respect for religious freedom, human rights and conscience. It is also contrary to Catholic teaching which applies an automatic excommunication to any Catholic who not only obtains an abortion but also anyone who assists in obtaining one. So much for respecting conscience in our Ontario secular society! Call your M.P.P. to protest – of course, your M.P.P. may be in favour of this demand on doctors. In which case, remember this at the next provincial election!

To All Parishioners: If you are looking for a way to make Lent special, please consider helping the environment committee decorate the Church for this coming Easter Season. We require assistance between the dates of March 28 and April 4, 2015. If you are interested, contact the office and leave your name and phone number or email address and you will be contacted. Many thanks and blessings.

Canadian Catholic Organization for Development & Peace: Sow Much Love to give. The Share Lent collection for DEVELOPMENT AND PEACE is on Good Friday. Collections will be made at the prayer services on Good Friday. Share lent collection envelopes can be found at the church entrances and they are also included in the box with your weekly offering envelopes. This annual campaign raises funds to

support the mission of the Canadian Catholic Organization for Development and Peace in more than 30 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East. This year Bishop Jean-Louis Plouffe is inviting us once again to think of the Global South and give generously to the Share Lent Campaign “One Human Family, Food for us all”. Thank you for your generosity in helping to meet the needs of the world. Last year St. Patrick’s donated $3, 000.00.
