Transcript of Fidelians Glance

I am immensely pleased to introduce this linguistic
and artistic creativity being showcased by the
Fidelians, who worked hard to bring out an
exhilarating flash back of the inception of the
school through their creative work. Covid – 19 has
brought lot of destructions, yet it has provided a
blank canvas to students on which they have tried
to splash colours in their linguistic and artistic way.
As the social media has expanded and taken over
every teeny tiny bit of all spheres of life, let us
together encourage our little ones to showcase
their talents through artistic way of writing for
these periodicals. As we launch this periodical, I
wish each and every one to enjoy reading and
cherishing it...
Glance Fidelians

Hi everyone! Welcome to the first exciting edition of the Fidelian Glance!
As we all are experiencing the stay in stay safe situation and due to which there is a
lack of outdoor space, it has in return made way for several other activities within walls to provide a
safe learning environment for our kids. In that light, Fidelian Glance finds out how staying indoors
can be equally rewarding in the overall development of a child. The write ups, puzzles, facts etc are
designed by our team in such a way that can help children to reach the pinnacle of success. We have
tried to keep our approach extremely hands on. We have set no boundaries when it comes to
learning. I do hope you enjoy this volume of E-Paper and festive season ahead!

The Torch Bearer is the person who spreads the light of cognizance to illuminate
the lives of people who wish to seek the knowledge. Being a Torch Bearer is the most
esteemed role someone can possess and being an educator is one of them. True
educators are those who use themselves as a bridge over which they invite their students
to joyfully collapse, felicitate their crossing and encourage them to create their own.
They keep fuelling their torch to make it brighter to enable others to see farther. They
bloom the young minds by inspiring them rather than filling their minds with facts. They
lead by example. Educators burn themselves like a candle to spread the light of
awareness and take their followers from darkness to light. I personally believe that every
person can be a torch bearer for someone else and that’s how we can create a better
world for our upcoming generation. So be a Torch Bearer and spread the light of
knowledge, light of humanity.

Change is the basic law of nature. But the changes wrought by the passage of
time affects human beings and institutions in different ways.
These two years of pandemic has taught us to adapt many changes in our day-
to-day life. It has enveloped us in our rooms but forced us to think and re-think in
different ways. It has transformed our centuries old chalk- talk teaching by new
technology.
We learnt how to be in the cocoon and still can fly with colourful wings. It’s a
great joy for us Fidelians that we have made an attempt to give wings to our thoughts
and views through first volume of this Newsletter FIDELIANS GLANCE.
• Education is a lifelong learning process and therefore this will provide a learning environment to our
students as learner. It will help them to exhibit their aptitude in literary sphere. At the end, I would like
to extend my best wishes to the Editorial team for the first volume of FIDELIANS GLANCE.
God bless each one.

The month of August marked the beginning of the future reason in all spheres from religious to cultural and environmental to educational.
Indeed, each had its own special value. To all intents and purposes the Vibes of the celebration could be felt towards the culmination. When the
environmental festival, Van Mahotsav was celebrated in the school as well as virtually with students. With the soothing environment of 'green' around
the corner, carrying a special message of the local religious festival 'Teej’, we marked the dawn of Independence Day on 15th August with bright
orange morning. The feeling of Patriotism was at its apex. Not only this, to live the famous quote ‘Unity in diversity’ and to build up a healthy
competition, the staff was further streamed into different committees with a captain to take up the responsibilities at different ages so the 'Seven Lampstands' of school is expected to henceforth pave the way for each
other. It would be an injustice, if we don't mention the growth in terms of educational competitions like Rakhi making, poster making, recitation
elocution and dance etc. With a mixed feeling of contentment and harrow we celebrated silver jubilee of our manager's ordination and bid him
farewell. Another important achievement in this facet was the initiative of the principal when the idea of E-paper was conceived and perceived.
Learning is an ongoing process. With the preview of that the management made an effort to keep the teachers motivated from time to time. The
Teacher's Enrichment Program was organized that proved productive. It was a highly motivational session conducted by Reverend Father John Roshan,
who enlightened us with his impactful knowledge.

Van Mahotsav is an annual tree – planting festival celebrated in the month of July. In which thousands of
trees are planted all over the country. Van Mahotsav week is celebrated from 1st July to 7th July to spread awareness about forest conservation and to save the Environment.
It was started by KULAPATI KANAIYALAL MUNSHI JI, the Union Minister of Agriculture to create enthusiasm among mass
so that more trees can be planted. The name Van Mahotsav means ‘Festival of Forests’. The Van Mahotsav week is a reminder that we must protect trees and stop deforestation and
practice the 3R rule – REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE. They help in fighting back the climate change by absorbing the Green House gases which are the main cause of Global warming.
The importance of trees can not be ignored as they give us fresh air to breathe, food to eat, shelter from rainfall and shade from sunlight. There are so many medicinal plants which we use to cure
from different diseases. They balance our Ecosystem. Due to the trees the temperature of our environment is balanced.
Forests like Amazon, Congo, Sunder bans etc. which have acres of trees have enormous green leafy lungs which work like a giant Green Machine that pulls enormous
quantity of Carbon Dioxide out of the air. So yes, trees are the only ones cleaning the air just like our human lungs. So, we should protect them at
any cost.

A tribute to Corona Warriors
Corona virus, known as covid- 19 is an infectious disease. That
causes illness in the respiratory system in humans. Covid-19 has
seemingly impacted almost all areas of our lives. If you're student,
chances are that you will experience serious disruptions to your
education. The impact of covid -19 on student life has been huge.
Covid has not just impacted students' social lives, but education
also. For most students learning has been largely moved to online.
Lectures and teaching staff have had to grapple with Zoom, Teams
and lecture recording and the result is weak eyesight and several
physical problems too that affect both our studies and health. This
covid-19 has affected the sources of supply and effects the global
economy. There are restrictions of travelling from one country to
another country. Numbers of cases are identified positive when
tested especially when they are taking international visits. All
government health organisations and other authorities are
constantly forcing on identifying the cases affected by covid-19.
Healthcare professionals face lot of difficulties in maintaining the
quality of healthcare.
