FICCI FRAMES 2009 Brief: FICCI Frames 2009 is referred as the largest conventions in Asia, for the media and entertainment industry. This year FICCI Frames also celebrated its 10 th Anniversary. This event is jointly organized by FICCI and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. The event had scheduled 30 sessions with parallel tracks and plenary sessions. With a host of activities the event had to cater to the requirements of about 3000 delegates from India and various countries across the world. Objective: Enable delegates to access information about the event on their fingertips. Provide a simple and a secure platform for networking at the event. Simplify the process of collecting feedback about the event from different delegates. Target Audience The delegates who attended the event were the target audience. The Solution: Blufi, The proprietary solution from TELiBrahma was deployed at the event. The entire event area was converted into a Bluetooth zone. An application was delivered to the mobile phones of participants at the event. An Event schedule integrated with organizer was delivered to the mobile phones of users. The mobile application had a list of the entire schedule at the event. User was able to browse for the list of events sessions and tracks and set a reminder for a particular session/track. The reminders were sent to his mobile according to his or her preference. Networking was made simple for the delegates through mobile. User was able to mention about his industry or media and mention with whom he/she would like to network.

• At regular intervals; emails were sent to registered users with Mobile Number

or email Ids matching their specific criteria.

• Feedback about various sessions was collected from the delegates effortlessly

through mobile.

• User was able to send feedback or comments (audiences speak) on specific

session and also on the event through mobile.

• The feedback information was shared with FICCI after the event

• Message Board - Classifieds

• Users were able to publish their views/requests on specific topics through

mobile.

• These views were collected by BluFi and the posts were accessible for

delegates through their mobile.

• WAP Portal

• Users were able to download the WAP Portal on to their mobile phone

before attending the event, to get a pre-view of the event schedule and plan

their visit.

• SMS Updates

• SMS updates were delivered to the mobile phones of delegates at the event.

Benefits of the Mobile Solution

• Enhanced event experience by introducing the mobile solution at the event.

• Support the delegates for accessing information in the most convenient way

through mobile.

• Effective Networking among delegates with the exchange of the right

contacts to the right people. Hence delivering greater value for delegates and

stakeholders at the event.

• Simple and most effective way of collecting feedback from delegates who

attend the event at any point of time.

Results

• 60% of the crowd had downloaded the application and 80% of these

downloads, registered them selves using the application.

• 60% of the participating crowd were able to send a request for networking.

• 40% of the participating crowd were able to send their feedback through

mobile.
