about FFA?  My favoriteaspect of FFA would haveto be the sense of cama-raderie among members, whether they are fromyour own chapter or 5,000miles away! It’s easy tointeract with fellow mem-bers and create new rela-tionships and connectionsyou never would have if

not for the FFA. There issomething very unifyingabout being a part of sucha wide organization andyou will very rarely seean FFA member withouta friendly smile on hisor her face. Nothing says“united” like a blue cor-duroy jacket!

How has FFA helpedyou grow as a person? FFAhas changed me in severalways throughout my highschool career. It has of-fered me so many opportu-nities and challenges I willcarry with me for the restof my life. I’ve made manyfriends and acquaintancesthrough the FFA and have

in FFA? I have always beeninvolved in FFA through-out my high school career.I have participated in theCorn Cob Open, barnyardday, Jackson Farm andHome Show, and StateGreenhand LeadershipCamp. I have also com-peted in the following ca-reer development events:forestry, novice parliamen-tary procedure and seniorparliamentary procedure. I

also competed at the 2014National FFA Conventionin veterinary science. Iam currently a part of thecrops team, but we havenot competed as of now.

Why did you join FFA? Ilove agriculture! The op-portunity to learn moreabout it and to grow as aperson excited me. Also,my older brother was inFFA. I saw how much heenjoyed it, so that made mewant to join. That is why I

joined FFA.What do you like most

about FFA?  I love thatFFA molds people intowell-rounded individuals. Not only does it teach onevaluable information, butshows people how to ap-ply it to their lives. I alsoappreciate how it helpsstudents grow. It improvescharacter by teaching pub-lic speaking, cooperationand the importance of hardwork.

How has FFA helpedyou grow as a person? FFA has grown me greatlyas a person. I have highlyimproved my public speak-ing skills by giving presen-tations about CDEs andby being an officer. FFAhas also grown my lead-ership skills by workingwith younger generations

and teaching them aboutagriculture. I have alsolearned the importance ofhard work and time man-agement in studying formy CDEs.

What do you like mostabout FFA? The opportu-nities such as camps, ca-reer development events— what we call the teamswe compete on — alongwith the opportunity tocompete at a state and na-tional level, and the peopleyou meet and friendshipsyou create.

How has FFA helped yougrow as a person? There is just something about this
