Friedman Fine Art is pleased to announce the completion of the
art and graphic program for the Gift of Hope. This non-for-profit
organ and tissue donor network is located in a newly constructed
state of the art facility in Itasca, Illinois. The program took over a
year to complete and consists of photography, custom paintings,
wall murals and environmental & branding graphic applications.
Custom 4' x 8' oil painting on canvas by Chicago artist Peter Hurley. The
painting depicts the Vitruvian Man inside a painted heart with strands of
DNA, birds, trees and other life affirming symbols.
The bulk of the facility was adorned with colored photographs mounted on
acrylic float frames. The entire collection of over 75 pieces is an assortment
of nature related imagery.
Timeline wall highlighting significant dates, events and milestones in Gift of
Hope's history. Dimensional elements are printed on Sintra cleated over
seamless printed canvas wall covering.
Donor wall highlighting the names of 2011's donors and recipients. The
dimensional elements are fabricated with magnetic sheets on cleated Sintra
for changeability.
The boardroom mission statement was fabricated using painted acrylic
letters below a vinyl strip illustrating photos of donors and recipients.
The adjacent wall in the boardroom has donor and recipient photos mounted
on acrylic that is pucked over a painted wall graphic.
Custom painted wall mural by Chicago artist Harry Sudman depicting
graphic themes used throughout the art collection.
Friedman Fine Art is pleased to announce the completion of the 9th floor
art program for Mesirow Financial. Mesirow Financial is a leading financial
services firm located at 321 North Clark St. The art program consists of 26
full color photographs mounted on float frames depicting images of
Chicago and seven other cities in which this Mesirow Group has offices.
The photographs selected for this project came from a collection of over
200,000 images on every conceivable subject.
Friedman Fine Art is pleased to announce the completion of the DePaul
Welcome Center graphics project. The entire program was fabricated and
installed by Andres Imaging & Graphics and consists of the following
components: Branded wall coverings with dimensional elements,
strategically placed video monitors, dusted crystal vinyl applications on
glass, vinyl banners, extra large stretch frames and a "Wow Wall"
illustrating the school's logo.
Friedman Fine Art is pleased to announce the completion
of the graphics program for Google's new Chicago facility.
The project incorporated sculpture, graphic design and
fabrication.
Friedman Fine Art worked with a Chicago metal artist to fabricate a stylized
city skyline out of bent and welded painted steel rods.
The design concept for the project was to create a "TECH STOP". Similar in look to the Blue Line on
Chicago's CTA maps the Tech Stop theme is tied together by a blue line running through all the interior architectural elements including the wall covering, glass dividers and floor.
Friedman Fine Art worked with a Chicago graphic artist recreating the entire downtown skyline in a stylized Vector graphic referencing photographs to depict each building's particular architectural detail.
Wherever possible the materials used were LEED certified to adhere to the firm's "green" initiative.
Friedman Fine Art is pleased to announce the recently designed and
fabricated graphic program for the Engis Corporation in Wheeling,
Illinois. The project consists of a history wall along with a product and
application wall. Illustrated below are various views of the 3 walls.
Engis History Wall
This wall exhibits both the history of the Engis Corporation and it’s global presence.
The timeline portion focuses on significant dates, events and milestones in Engis’s
history and the globalization area illustrates the company’s worldwide reach. This
wall consists of printed wall paper with dimensional acrylic elements and a spot for
a future video display.
Detail of Engis Worldwide
The dimensional elements are Lambda prints mounted to
acrylic float frames illustrating the nine countries Engis has
manufacturing facilities.
Detail of the History Wall
The timeline shows the history of the company and products from the 1940’s to the present. The
company’s highlights are illustrated using a combination of 2 and 3 dimensional design elements.
Applications Wall
This wall shows both the application of Engis products and the diverse
industries it serves. A technical/industrial feeling is created through the
use of layered acrylic panels, hardware and custom printed wallpaper.
Diamond Wall
This wall was designed to appeal to Engis's engineering focused clients. Again, custom
wallpaper is used as a background and dimensional panels applied. The charts were
redesigned to show their technical information in a more appealing visual layout.
