Fernway School
On March 19th, 2013 we heard from IB that we had been named an IB
World School!
Congratulations Fernway!
In February, Fernway was evaluated for verification. Only great things were expressed about our school.
A report was filed with IB in Bethesda and a recommendation was sent to IB Headquarters in
Geneva, Switzerland.

The Mission of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IB)

Featured Country:
• In the desert city of Yazd, some older houses are built below ground, where residents can escape the heat. These houses have special towers that are designed to catch breezes and point them downward, creating a kind of natural air conditioning.
• Iranian rugs and carpets are known worldwide for their fine craftsmanship and design.

or seminomadic, meaning that they move from place to place instead of living in just one location.
