David Dugger, presidentand CEO ofShoffnerKalthoff Mechani-cal Electric Service, Knox-ville, Tenn., has been in-stalled as the 2012-2013Plumbing-Heating-CoolingContractors—National Asso-ciation (PHCC) president.The swearing-in ceremonywas held Oct. 5 in Philadel-phia, Pa., during CONNECT2012, the organization’s an-nual convention.

Dugger started his me-chanical construction ca-reer in 1971 as a sheetmetal and piping apprenticewhile studying mechanicalengineering at the Universityof Tennessee. His careerhas included numerousmanagement positions, aswell as project manage-ment and estimating. He hasworked on an expansivevariety of projects, includingmanufacturing facilities, in-stitutional, commercial of-fice and mixed-use build-ings. He holds licenses inmore than 12 states and hasextensive experience inmechanical design/buildconstruction.

Prior to serving as presi-dent-elect in 2012, Duggerwas named the 2004 Trane/PHCC HVAC Contractor ofthe Year for his dedicationto upgrading the industry

through education.He served on the 2009-

2010 PHCC—National Asso-ciation Board of Directorsand in fall 2010, he waselected vice president of thenational association.

A longtime advocate forPHCC education initiatives,Dugger was named to PHCCEducational Foundation’s2010-2011 Board of Direc-tors. David and his wife, Jan,were named BenefactorMembers of the PHCC—Na-tional Association Educa-tional Foundation Board ofGovernors in 2010. He cur-rently serves as chair of theEducational FoundationHVACR Apprentice andJourneyman Training Com-mittee Chair and co-chair ofthe Invest in Your Future pro-gram that supports educa-tional and scholarshipprograms.

Bimco Corporation is excited to announcethey celebrated the addition of the Gerber Lineof Plumbing Fixtures during the first week ofOctober by hosting a dinner at the Winston-Sa-lem and Greensboro locations. Employees weretrained on the Gerber Fixture line of products,special displays were set up, and customers weretreated to a delicious dinner of Pork Bar-B-Que,Slaw, Fried Chicken, Potato Salad, Beans, andBanana Pudding provided by Pig-N-Out Bar-B-Que. The attendees enjoyed some great prizesincluding Gerber hats, T-shirts, knee pads, flashlights, and flash drives were given away byGerber Sales Reps. Mike Collins, Carolina SalesAssociates, and Brian Dougherty, National SalesManager - New Construction for Gerber Plumb-ing Fixtures were on hand to provide training,and to make sales calls to several customers.

In all 200 people were served in Winston-Sa-lem and 100 people at the Greensboro Branch.Displays of the Avalanche toilet (#1 rated by awell-known Consumer Magazine), Viper Toilets,and Maxwell Toilets, lavatories, and faucets wereprovided for customers to evaluate. The new Vi-per Compact Elongated ADA toilet got specialattention from the customers. This new productis an elongated ADA toilet that fits into a roundfront space allowing customers to upgrade ex-isting round front toilets with an elongated ADAtoilet.
