Types of Fees
• Automatically Assessed• School - assessed when a student enrolls• Course - assessed when a student is
scheduled for a certain course• Balance Transfer
SOY (Start of Year) Balance - transferredduring end of year process
• Manually Assessed• Student Fees - Field Trips, Library Fines, etc.• Can be assessed individually or for a group
Fee Types

New Transaction
Adding a fee to an individual student
• Choose a student
• From the left menu, choose Fee Transactions
Select a Fee from the drop down menu
Enter a Description
Enter a Fee amount
Enter a Credit (payment)
Choose a payment method from the drop down menu
Enter a Reference # (like a check #)
If the fee is related to a course, enter a course #
Searching for students by fees• Students who are not related to a school fee record
– *fee_id=noschool
• Students who are not related to a course fee record– *fee_id=nocourse
• Students who have at least one fee balance that is partially paid– *fee.fee_balance=partial
• Students with a fee balance greater than 0– *fee_balance.balance>0
• Students with a fee balance equal to 0– *fee_balance.balance=0
• Students with no fee balance record– *fee_balance.balance=null
