Welcome to 2013

The Post had a very good year in 2012, we accomplished everything

we set out to do and this due totally to all of the support and many hours that

all of you at VFW 10386 provided. As Commander, I appreciate the mem-

bers of the VFW, Ladies Auxiliary and the Men’s Auxiliary. Again well

done to all

Our Post was asked to host the homecoming for the Cooties Grand

Commander of Arizona, on the 19th of Jan. Once again the support from all

members of the Post was Awesome, especially the Ladies Auxiliary who

provided excellent service at the dinner served for the homecoming.

We have added new activities for our members during the month of

Jan; hopefully interest and participation will continue to grow. Texas Hold-

em is starting on Mondays, and Wii Bowling is up and running on Wednes-

days, check your calendar for starting times.

We will be having nominations for Post Officers shortly, it is time

for all VFW members to think about “stepping up to the plate” to ensure our

continued success in 2013 & 2014! We have some very competent members

in our Post and a lot of jewels in the rough new members. I, as Commander

would like to see support for the new members in the Post from the sea-

soned members and past officers to guide them in their introduction of Post

matters and hopefully helping them move up through the chairs.

We are still making great progress in obtaining funds for the walk in

cooler, keep up with the fund raising efforts.

Once again congratulations to all mem-

bers of Post 10386 for an awesome 2012.

The total amount does not include the $192.00 that goes into the dart machine. I want to thank everyone on donating

your winnings back. This money will go into the funding for the walk-in-cooler. Thank you again and hope to see

So that they may follow your lead

With kindness, compassion and love.

Please deliver them from evil

And bestow upon them the courage they need

And the strength of will to lead our nation

Without hatred, spite or with greed.

For those who have served our country well,

Please bless them for the good they’ve done,

For the positive changes they’ve made,

And for making this country second to none!
