Mr. V.A.Venkatesh Babu, (1992 EEE), working in TIARA, USA has delivered a talk on “Global IT trends and People Skill” on 3/3/10. He presented another lecture on “Smart Grid–An Evolution in Electrical and IT Industries” on 24/2/2011 to EEE Students.
A Guest Lecture on Career Guidance was provided by Mr.R.Jegannathan (2009 IT) to IT Students.

MCA Association organized a one day National Level Students technical symposium COSSACK’10 on 22.9.2010. Mr. M. Rajesh Narendar(2006 MCA), Senior Business Intelligence Developer, Wipro Technologies , Chennai, was the Chief Guest.
Mr.Rahul Kaitaan,(2004 IT) was the Chief guest for the Communication Skills workshop organized by Readers Club.
Ms.N.Nithya,Program Analyst, Cognizant , and alumni of Mepco(2009 CSE), inaugurated the symposium Exponents’11.

Dear Old Students ! I’m extremely happy to address you all through the alumni association of our college. I am continuously amazed at how well you have emerged out in all walks of life spanning across the entire globe. I reckon the noble role of our college towards shaping you what you are today. I’m sure that most of you would vouch for the fact that the holistic education you have received in and out of the classrooms at our college has laid a strong foundation, influencing the building of your professional career and personal life upon it. With the Duke of Wellington’s immortal quote of “The battle of waterloo was won on the playfields of Eton” as the backdrop, it is very heartening to note that every one of you pride on your alma mater. We wish you to passionately foster an ardent and emotional attachment towards our college. Together we can brighten the prospects of your alma mater by establishing a legacy that will maintain the name of the college in high esteem, honour and reputation. You are one of the foremost assets of the college in steering it on the road of rich heritage to the proud position as one of the elitist institutions of technical education in the world. I wish dedicated individuals among you to volunteer to be in the board of the alumni association; exchanging valuable ideas. Recognising and respecting you as an integral part of the college community shall enhance the image of our college which in due course will bring in phenomenal improvement in our demeanour to our stakeholders. Alumni Meet
As a part of Silver Jubilee celebrations, our College has organized a grand Silver Jubilee Alumni meet on 18.07.2009. For this special meet, the passed out graduates from 1988 batch to 2008 batch were invited. More than 500 alumni members attended the function with their families. Principal Dr.S.Balakrishnan presided over the function and in his address he stressed about the role to be played by the alumni for the betterment of the institute and students. Also he described in brief about the various achievements of our college.
The third MEPCO MBA alumni meet was held at Chennai, Abirami mall on 15. 2. 09. Fifty Seven MEPCO MBA alumni and 5 guests (family members of alumni) participated in the event. The alumni had a good time in the evening with a lot of informal discussions and later batch wise introduction to the fellow alumni. 58 First MBA students and 15 Second MBA students were present in the meet and they discussed with the alumni and established rapport. It provided an excellent platform for them to get industry contacts for their projects and further placements.
Fourth MEPCO MBA Alumni Meet was held on Feb 14, 2010 at Abirami Mall, Chennai. 29 Alumni, 9 Second Year MBA students, 58 First Year MBA students and 4 faculty members of MBA department participated in the alumni meet. Dr. S.Tamilselvan addressed the gathering. Alumni and the students of the MBA department enthusiastically interacted with each other and made the occasion joyous and wonderful. The event ended with a delicious dinner.
