Data related to staff and students’ perceptions about discipline & school climate
ALL Staff; ALL Students grades 3-above ALL Parents-optional
Your school will be provided it’s own custom URLs for administering the surveys
Surveys will be open from:10/1-10/12—remaining data until 10/31/12.Your school team will discuss & plan the process for getting staff and students surveyed.

Data collected regarding students’ behavior in common areas of the school: cafeteria, shared hallways, auditorium, arrival/dismissal areas; determine areas to be observed.
Multiple persons on staff; may want to choose 1 “unbiased/unassuming” guest
Use the Common Area Observation Form; also consider using video camera for later analysis
Conduct during the busiest usage times; have at least 2 observers for each targeted area for purposes of comparison; set observation dates/times—complete them prior to your scheduled coaching visit.

Referrals often generated by variety of staff; sometimes are “dealt-with” by an individual or small group of administratorsWho are our “frequent flyers”? Where are the majority of referrals generated? What is the breakdown by grade level?Use the discipline referral data you already collect.
