The FAUN air circulation system

The FAUN air circulation system continuously transports the extracted air from the sweepings container to the blowing nozzle. Only a small proportion oft he air is released unuse through an air slow down chamber into the atmosphere. The quantity of circulating air can be variably adjusted be-tween 30 and 70 % depending on the application.

The emission of fine dust from the FAUN road sweeper is 50 % less than with purely suction road sweepers in the area

at the rear (working with a manual suction system), and there is no contaminated expelled air around the road sweeper and no production of clouds of dust and leaves for passers-by. Adding water also makes it possible to clean the street. In winter, it can be used down to -5 °C by adding water into the suction shaft, as the air introduced into the circuit is heated up by around 15 °C and therefore prevents the water in the suction shaft and the container from freezing.

VIAJET 7 – Your universal special toolThe VIAJET 7 can be used for both community road sweep-ing and on building sites.

As a pioneer in hydraulic drive technology FAUN offers the latest in auxiliary engine concepts alongside the forward-looking single-engine concepts as a hydraulic or hydrostati-cally driven road sweeper.

The VIAJET 7 has a great deal of space for dirt for a com-paratively low unladen weight and compact construction. As a result, the maximum payload is achievable. Given its versatility in terms of detail and high performance, the VIAJET 7 is the ideal vehicle for flexible service provider, that will operate on a building site today and in a town or city tomorrow. The VIAJET 7 comes with FAUN‘s patented air circulation system as standard, which guarantees the best emission values in the expelled air.

Auxiliary engine

Emissions standard• Euromot 3a (with flexible cleaning)• Euromot 3b• Tier 4f

New routes: The focus is on economy and efficiency rather than unused power reserves.

Benefits to you: With an auxiliary engine, the sweeper’s functions are driven independently of the vehicle’s engine. Using lighter engines with op-timised performance, e.g. VW engine, even less space is taken up, enabling a greater load capacity.

Hydraulic drive

The sweeper is powered by a hydraulic dual pump that is driven by a power take-off independent of the chassis transmission (approx. 600 Nm). Variable drive in the speed range 900 - 2,000 rev/min.

Benefits to you: Fuel savings can be achieved as the turbine performance is adapted to the engine’s performance. Investment in maintenance is also reduced, as there is no need for an ad-ditional auxiliary engine. What is more, there are no additional emission values and the generation of noise can be reduced by up to 2 dB(A).

Hydrostatic drive

• HS 1000 R – up to approximately 290 hp, drive via power train, switch between mechanical and hydrostatic drive

• HS 2000 – heavy-duty class up to 400 hp, drive via PTO on the engine side and can therefore be combined with automatic transmission

Benefits to you: With this special development for sweeping applications from FAUN, the engine can be driven in the optimal operating range, relieving the load on the entire drive train. Con-venient load change control is therefore ensured. It is operated simply by using the drive pedal. Cruise control is an optional extra.

FAUN drive concepts

It is all about the position

- Sloping exhaust fan- Optimal volume stream- Improves suction performance

Optional for heavy-duty use on building sites:- High-performance exhaust system

Considerable space for water

- Total water volume 2,200 l- Low centre of gravity- Optimal weight distribution- Additional sound-proofing function- Light-weight fiber-glass tank and completely

resistant to corrosion- Considerably less calcification

Modern drive concepts

- Auxiliary engine- Hydraulic drive can be switched on during travel- Hydrostatic drive

The V-shaped shaft

- Large opening- Robust- Optimal aerodynamics

Bumps in the road, no problem

- Swing mounting- Sweepings optimally carried to the shaft- Wide approach angle

The powerful broom

- Widely and variably movable- Works in front of the cylindrical brush

Quality for long service life

- Stainless steel bottom pan, with raised sides- Easy to empty, quick to clean

The control centre

- Valves and control units on the one side- Housing protected from spray water- Maintenance-free position

Everything at a glance

- All functions simple to access- Intuitive control
