e - Habitation

The University of São Paulo has no accommodation for foreign students.

Info Housing USP

The service Info Housing has the objective of advertise housing

opportunities to foreign students on Exchange at USP during their stay in

São Paulo. This service was created having as assumptions two main

issues: the lack of housing provided by the University and the difficulties for

foreigners to rent a place in Brazil (due to the lack of the minimum

required documentation, besides of others customary real estate

requirements).

The main idea is that owners of residences in São Paulo (with or without

bond with USP) that are willing to receive students integrate the database.

This database is currently without permission to be realized by electronic

means or web publication. Because of that, it is made available directly to

exchange students only, that will receive a hard copy of the housing list as

soon as they present themselves at USP International Agency.

(Av. Prof. Lúcio Martins Rodrigues, s/n, travessa 4 – Bloco B – 4º andar –

Cidade Universitária – São Paulo/SP).

f – USP iFriends

USP iFriends is a volunteer program created by USP International

Cooperation Office (AUCANI) in order to improve the relationship between

international students and the academic community. The USP iFriend (a

regular undergraduate student at USP who signs up for the program) is

responsible for this process.

6

Some things the iFriend can do to help the exchange student are: Housing,

Academic orientation, language, cultural integration and pick up at the

airport.

The undergraduate exchange student decides to sign up for the USP

iFriends Program at the moment you submit your online application as an

exchange student. In case someone becomes your iFriend, you will receive

an e-mail with information on how to contact your iFriend (please check the

e-mail you registered at our USP digital systems).
