BLUE BUCKS HALLOWEEN MOBILE

Hey, kids, here’s a spooky little project that’s sure to scare up some fun for Halloween. Here’s what you’ll need:

• Orange and Green Craft Foam Sheets• Black Craft Thread• Black Marker Pen• Pencil• White Glue

First, take a sheet of orange foam and draw a pumpkin shape about 7” wide. On a sheet of green foam, draw out a stem to fit your pumpkin. Next, cut out each shape with your scissors. Using the marker pen, draw a scary or funny face on your pumpkin. Glue the stem to the top of your pumpkin with the white glue, and if you’d like, glue on some googly eyes for a little extra fun, just like we’ve done. Now, take the included insert and cut out the Blue Bucks characters and the spooky Blue Bucks Kids’ Club letters. To make it easier, feel free to leave a little white space around each character. Next, cut 3 lengths of the black thread, each about 10” - 12” long. Tape one length of thread to the back of each character and tape the Blue Bucks letters about 3” above Penny. Using the hole punch, make 3 holes along the bottom of your pumpkin - one in the middle and two on either side, and one on the stem. Now tie the loose thread ends from each character to the bottom of your pumpkin, making sure Penny is in the center. Use the photo as a guide. Finally, cut a long piece of thread and tie it to your stem. You can now hang your mobile along with all your other Halloween decorations.

The spooky ghosts and jack-o-lanterns of Halloween are also right around the corner. Dressing up as a frightful goblin or your favorite superhero is such fun! In this edition of Blue Bucks Adventures, you can make a Halloween-themed Blue Bucks mobile to display at home. Follow the enclosed directions and the witches and ghosts will be taking flight in no time.
