When I was working in Southern California and Texas, I always

aspired to return to the South Bay.

I was born and raised here, so I know that Campbell Union High

School District (CUHSD) has a long history of providing high qual-

ity secondary education to the surrounding communities of San

Jose, Campbell, Los Gatos, Saratoga, Santa Clara, and Monte

Sereno.

An additional distinction of our district is the adult education program, which has a

well-earned reputation for innovation and responsiveness to our community’s

needs.

Last year more than 2,400 adult learners received instruction and support to be-

come career and “college ready” through our growing partnership with local com-

munity colleges.

Our district is dedicated to lifting up the families of our region, the parents of our

schoolchildren, and building a just economy and healthy community. That's why I

feel fortunate to begin work this fall as CUHSD's new superintendent.

Whether you are an immigrant wanting to acquire English or an adult who wants to

learn Spanish, cooking, or photography, I trust that you will find something to help

you in this schedule of classes. CACE offers you a World of Opportunity. CACE offers you a World of Opportunity. CACE offers you a World of Opportunity. CACE offers you a World of Opportunity.

Do you love to see that light of under-standing come on when you help a person learn something new? Our students need help in many different subjects: Reading, writing, science, algebra, etc. You may be the one who enables an adult student to reach her educational goal! CACE espe-cially needs volunteers who can help our evening students. “The reward in volunteering at CACE is the knowledge that you are making a difference in someone’s life on a very direct level. You see them absorb and apply what you are showing them and you can see progress week by week.
