The Very Simple and Uncomplicated Five-Step Process of Requesting Funds1. Submit an event proposal through 25live and fill in the amount
requested from Finance Committee.2. Receive event approval from Chinez, containing the link to the
SGA Funding Request Formstack.3. After filling out the Formstack, the Treasurer will reach out to schedule an
appointment with Finance Committee.4. Present before Finance Committee on Thursday, 8:00PM in the vice
president’s conference room.5. Receive FC decision from Treasurer within 48 hours.
* THIS PROCESS MUST BE COMPLETED TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE EVENT.
Cosponsorships• Available to ANY student group
or department on campus• Goes through the Senate• All requests capped at $3,000• SGA Funding Request Form• No need to contact Treasurer• Treasurer will email to schedule
an appearance before SenateMONDAYS at 6:00PM
GDS Philanthropic Fund• Available to ANY student group
on campus • Goes through FC (no appearance)• No limit (Senate Bill 1415-1010)• GDS Donation Form• No need to contact Treasurer• Treasurer will email Finance
Committee’s decision100% FUNDRAISING MUST GO TO A CHARITABLE CAUSE…not your club’s budget

Questions from previous sessions• What if there’s a change in treasurers?• The new treasurer should meet with me for a briefing.
• Do we have to come before FC to spend our budget?• NO; only when you need funds to SUPPLEMENT your budget for individual events.
