Q1 – Main CharacterThe results suggest that we should have one female character in the opening sequence. This will simplify the situation and allow the first two minutes not to be too plot based.

Q2 – Initial RomanceThe 50/50 result here gives us the opportunity to go either way. As it would be difficult to find someone to step in for a male celebrity, there is a high likelihood of their NOT being any initial romance.

Q3 – Conversations with FriendsThis means we have to introduce either a comedic element to opening sequence, OR we have to make it is some way memorable – hopefully for all the right reasons!

Q4 – Main Female Character Traits

This means the character sketch could be a twenty-something woman, and despite her having some brains,

there is also quite a bit of insecurity around her – mainly thanks to the celebrity crush she has developed over the years.

Q5 – Female Character Introduced

Instead of having either a flashback or introduction to the story through the eyes of another character, introducing the female protagonist in the opening sequence allows the audience a greater opportunity to connect with her.

Q6 – Audience relationship with Character

The audience want to be able to relate to her, and the insecurities concerning the male celebrity, while being humorous, will hopefully be a way they can relate to

Q7 – Character DialogueWith the majority of our Facebook friends suggesting a voice over, We thought it could be similar to Bridget Jones’s Diary. This could also serve as a introduction to the character. The only problem with the voiceover is that a soundtrack as well as a voiceover might be too mcuh.

Q8 – Background Music

This is conventionally-accepted in Romantic-Comedies, and by having the music in the background, it will allow another potential talking point for conversations.

Q9 – Famous SongWith the majority voting for a famous song as an introduction, it will be extremely hard to acquire the copyright needed. We might therefore have to forego this topic and opt for a new, original song.

Q10 – Male Character◦ The results show that

8 out of 12 people would like to see the male character introduced in some way. Instead of giving him dialogue (which would require and actor) we could make reference to him in several ways.
