Click the down arrow on the top right corner on Facebook and choose Create Ads.

Click Page Likes. It will increase your audience on Facebook.

Choose your Facebook Page and press Continue.

Prepare yourself… you’re about to start making your very first Facebook Advert!

You can now choose what image you’re going to use for the promotion of your Facebook Page. Please note that one image = one advert. You may start with one image or maximize the maximum number of allowed images.

Recommended size for images is 1200 x 444 pixels. If your image is smaller that the recommended size, you may adjust the image by clicking Reposition Images.

This is how it will look like. You may choose what part of the picture you want to feature on your advert.

Create a brief Call To Action so people will ‘like’ your page. Character limit is 90 so make it short but catchy

Choose the landing page for your ad. We will add a “How To Join” tab on your Facebook Page (separate tutorial) so once your prospect clicks on your ad, they will be redirected to the page on your Facebook page wherein there’s a brief introduction and explanation of the business that they can see and read.

You can see what your ad will look like by clicking the preview tabs for Desktop News Feed, Mobile News Feed and Right Column. Right Column Ads can be found on the right side of Facebook when you’re browsing your News Feed or when you’re on your Timeline.

Now, you may set your target by specifying Locations, Age, Gender, Interests.

Now, you may set your target by specifying Locations, Age, Gender, Interests. The more you set a specific information of your targets, your Potential Reach (see right column of picture) will decrease. Meaning, it will be easier for Facebook to reach / tap your target market through the specifications that you will set.

Set your budget for a day. Your budget will determine how many people will be reached by Facebook to show your ad.

Since this is your first advert, you may run your ad for a day. Please make sure you’ll set a start and end date of your ad.

Now… REVIEW your work first before placing your order or finalizing your ad. Check your ad for typo errors, your budget and your ad schedule.

Once you click Place Order, you will be asked for the Payment Method you’re going to use for your Facebook Advert. If you do not have a credit card from banks, you may apply for a Smart Money Card (Mastercard).

Wait for your ads to be approved by Facebook. This is how your Adverts Manager page will look like
