Ø
ØThe project is a partnership between the Council's Family And Community Education Service (known as FACE) and the NHS 5 Boroughs Partnership Foundation Trust (Recovery Service) working with individuals looking to recover from mental illness and move on in life
ØThe project is being funded by the Skills Funding Agency sponsored by the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) and the Department of Health and National Health Service (NHS)
ØThe partnership offers individuals, who are experiencing, or have experienced, mental health issues, an opportunity to participate in a wide range of FREE 'community learning' activities
FACE Forward is part of a “whole research study” and all staff and learners involved are contributing to a qualitative “Day in the life – adult education and mental health study”
· Improve health and well-being
· Reduce anxiety and depression
· Improve confidence, self-esteem and self-worth
· Help individuals to become more independent
· Reduce the use of medical services
· Help individuals return to employment or training
