Introduction

Welcome to the guide to Fable II: Knothole Island - the first downloadable chapter for thegame. This guide offers a complete walkthrough of the story, as well as the locations of bookscontaining the history of the island that are scattered throughout it and a description of howto get every item from the new shop The Box of Secrets, in which you can get mysteriousboxes only by trading them for other items.

Some hints

The DLC activates right after you start the game. There will be a notification about anew quest available Knothole Island's Big Freeze. To begin the adventure, go toGordon the submarine owner, who you will find in the docks at BowerstoneMarket;

The chapter brings some new items like clothes, weapons, trophies and potionsthanks to which you will lose weight without much effort Skinny Potion, get rid ofscars Miracle Scar Vanishing Potion or even become smaller/bigger;

Augment Remover a tool that lets you augments from weapons, without destroyingthem in the process, so its possible to add and remove the ones you need at themoment. PLEASE NOTE:this tool doesnt work on Legendary Weapons!

Three new achievements have been added; Reviving your dog if you have chosen an option in which your dog isnt returned to

life, you can revive him in the DLC. You can do it in the wizards crypt on KnotholeIsland, which you will find in the cemetery. Bring a peasant with you to the gate and itwill open. Go inside and afterwards go out and pull the lever. The prize for returningyour four-legged friend to life is the sacrifice of the peasant.

The storyKnothole Island's Big Freeze

Prize:150 renown points,Ice Key Trophy.

Unlocks:Cosmetics shop.

Head to Gordon, youll find him at the docks inBowerstone Market#1. Youll be asked forhelp in saving the island from snow, which is giving inhabitants a really hard time. Afteraccepting the quest, youll receive some presents: One Burned Calorie Potion, SolarShielding Spectacles, Knothole Island, Vol I, Assassin Gloves and Knothole Knight

Boots. Get onto the ship and go to the island. After getting there #2, go to Chieftain heltell you what you have to do next.

Before you head to the Ice Shrinewhere you will activate the first of two Sun Totems, youhave to find the Ice Key, which is buried on top of one of the mountains. Go along the path,eliminating Hobbes Shadowsand a Werewolf Shadow. Once you get to the top, dig up thekey #1. Head to the next mountain #2, where the entrance lies. Unlock it and go inside.

Go forward and youll reach a little bigger room with Hobbes. After dealing with the enemiesshatter the stalactites blocking your way #1and jump into the hole. After a quite long flighthead forward. The next passage is blocked by a big piece of ice #2, which you unfortunatelycannot destroy with your sword, gun or magic. In the centre youll find a lever, pull it and theice block will melt.

In the next room youll face a similar situation, but definitely more difficult. In the centrethere is a frozen lever, a passage with three ice blocks behind it #1and a passage on the leftand right side. Whichever you approach, it will get blocked and youll be attacked by

Werewolf and Bandit Shadows. After you defeat them, the gate will open. Go right, theriddle there is easier. At the end of the path, youll find a lever #2and some electric fieldsblocking the way. In order to get to the other side, you have to attack the appropriate shiningsphereswith your sword. Each sphere is assigned to one or more electric fields.

You have to cross four fields. The table below shows you which field is activated by whichsphere (+ mark).

To unblock the passage, hit the spheres in this order (starting from the left): 1, 3, 4. G to thelever and pull it to melt the first of three ice blocks.

After returning to the main room, you will be attacked by some more Shadows#1. Get rid othe enemies and head to the room on the opposite side. This time the task will be quitedifficult and will require concentration and the ability to make quick decisions. Before youstart the task, assign a long range spell (Id suggest Infernoor Shock) to the lowest level. Inorder to get to the next lever, you have to attack the sphere using the right attacks #2depending on its colour:

Blue attack with a sword;

Yellow shoot it with a gun;

Red hit it with a spell.

Altogether, you have to attack it 10 times (each one corresponds to one torch on the otherside of the room). The spheres colour will change into the following: blue, yellow, red, bluered, yellow, blue, red, yellow, blue, blue. The last sphere will approach very close to theelectric field #1and you will have to get to it very quickly, because you dont have much time.Eventually, pull the lever #2. You will melt the 2nd lock of ice. Return to the main room.

Shadowswill appear once more. Once the last of them is dead, the lever in the centre will betreated with a nice blast of fire #1. Use it to melt the last, 3rd block of ice #2.

Head along the cleared path. You will arrive at a cave with lava. Once you get down, youll beattacked by Werewolf Shadows#1. The Sun Totemis on the right, you have to jump evenlower to get to it #2.

After you activate it, youll be automatically teleported outside, where all the snow is goneand the island is sunny again #1. Return to Chieftain#2 on your way youll be attacked bysome Beatles to end the quest, gain a trophy and renown points.

Knothole Island's Huge Heat

Prize:750 renown points, Sun Key Trophy.Unlocks:Augments shop.

In order to start this mission, you have to first leave the island. Once youre in a newlocation, info about a new quest will appear. Head over to Gordon at the BowerstoneMarketplacedocks or go directly to Knothole Islandusing the menu.

Go talk with Chieftain. This time hell complain about the terrible heat wave on the island.Your task is to bring rain. You will find the Storm Totemin the Sun Shrine. You also havefind to dig up the Sun Key. Go along the path. Jump off the cliff #1and head left. On yourway you will have a little meeting with some Hobbes. Eventually youll arrive at some ruins#2 with a digging spot among them. Get your shovel and dig up the Sun Key.

Go further and youll jump down to the ground next to some houses. Follow the trail and youwill reach the Sun Shrine#1. Go down the stairs and youll reach a big room with a shiningsphere#2. Remember that the spheres colour corresponds to the kind of attack you haveuse on it:

Blue attack with a sword;

Yellow shoot it with a gun;

Red hit it with a spell.

After you land your first hit on the yellowsphere, it will fly to the door on the right. It willturn blue, so attack it with your sword. The door on the left will open, and behind them youwill see an expression statue #1. Use the Chicken expression the statue fall and ayellowsphere will fly out of it. Shoot it with any gun you have. It will fly to the door and turnblue. If you wont make it in time, stand as close to the place it appeared as possible andshoot it with a gun if youre close enough to the blue one, you should be able to hit it withyour sword. The second door will open. This time use the Laughing expression. The spherewill turn redand after you use a spell it will fly to the door and change to blue. The middledoor will be opened #2.

Go down. You will get to a big room filled with sand and Beatles#1. Further, you will reachsome wooden stakes coming out of the ground #2. To open them, attack the blue spherebefore you and afterwards turn around and shoot the yellow.

Go up the wooden stairs. Another sphere will appear in the distance, this time a yellow one#1. After you hit it, it will change colour to redand in the end to blue. You have to hurry andhit it with your sword. The gate on the left will open #2.

You will find yourself in a small Hobbescamp. Defeat the enemies and head to the camp onthe left. There you will find a lever #1 which will open the next passage. Another wave ofHobbeswill cross your way. Eliminate everyone in the next room. On the left, between someboxes, you will find a blue switchon the ground #2. You will open another door once youstand on it.

Run along the trail, swimming through the flooded rooms and eventually you will reach acorridor with flames #1. You cant cross them, so dont even try. Stand on the blue switchbefore you while looking out for the flame that burst from the ceiling from time to time. The

gate on the left will open. Pull the lever and hit the blue spherenext to it. The sphere will flyto the other side of the room and turn yellow. Turn around and shoot it with your gun. Thehorizontal flames will start to disappear, giving you a chance to cross corridor. Around themiddle, in the room on the right, you will find another lever which will completely switch offthe flames #2.

Another switch on the floorwill open the door before you. You will reach the last room. Butbefore you activate the totem, you will have to deal with two waves of Hollow Men#1. Afterdefeating them, approach the Storm Totem#2and activate it.

Rain will start pouring from the sky and the main square will get flooded #1. Swim to theshore and head to Chieftain, where you will end your quest #2.

Knothole Island Drowning

Prize:3000 renown points, Storm Key.In order to start this mission, you have to first leave the island. Once youre in a newlocation, info about a new quest will appear. Head over to Gordon at the BowerstoneMarketplacedocks or go directly to Knothole Islandusing the menu.

Talk with Chieftain again. The undecided inhabitants complain about the constant rain. Yourtask is to find the last totem, the Ice Totem. You will find it in the Storm Shrine, but beforeyou go there, you gave to get the Storm Key. Follow the trail to the point where you will haveto jump down into the water #1. Swim to the shore on the right and you will find the diggingspot on the top of the mountain #2.

Swim to the other side. You will meet some Werewolveson your way but you shouldnt haveany problems with defeating them. You will return to the main square. Follow the trail once

again, this time straight to the Storm Shrine #1. Right before the entrance gate, someHobbeswill attack you. Go straight and you will reach a long corridor. There will be a sphereat the end, a staircase behind it and some Shadowsaround to kill #2. You can use a rangedweapon to deal with them from afar.

The door upstairs is locked. Go down and hit the blue sphere. It will fly to the left, wheresome more Shadows are waiting for you #1. The sphere will fly into the ruins #2. Afterentering the building, you will be attacked by a group of enemies. Hit the sphere using asword and follow it to the next building.

As before, inside you will find somefoesand the sphere, this time blue#1. The sphere willfly outside. You will get to it by going around the building inside which you are #2. Hit it withyour sword.

Jump down and head to the stairs, shooting the yellow sphere hanging above one of the

columns while youre on your way #1. Only one building left. You have to backtrack a littleto around the middle of the corridor through which you have entered. After clearing the roomof some more Shadows, hit the blue sphere. It will move to the stairs, above the entrancegate #2. Head to it and eliminate Shadow Werewolves, Hobbes and bandits. After the lasthit, the door will open. Go inside.

Jump into the hole. Once you swim to the shore, go forward all the time. In the second roomthe door will lock as you approach it and youll get attacked by Hollow Men#1. After dealingwith them, the door will once again open. In the middle of the room you will find a pipe andbehind it a ladder. Climb up and hit the blue sphere with your sword. Jump to the otherplatform and hit it the same way once more. Follow the sphere to the very end #2, until itdisappears in the pipe. Return to the ladder and go down.

Hit the blue sphere and then shoot it it will turn yellow. Follow it to the gate, which willopen #1. You will cross a platform with three possible paths and some Hollow Menyou have

to deal with. The doors on right and left are closed, so go straight using the stairs. Theres adifficult task awaiting you. There are five pipes in the room #2. There is a yellow sphereabove the first one. Once you shoot it, it will be sucked into the pipe and will appear aboveanother one. Theres really not much time for you to shoot or use magic. The sphere willchange colours in this order: yellow,red,yellow,yellow,red. Once you hit it the 3rd time,run to the other side, closer to the last pipe. It should make your task easier. Once youredone with that, the door will open and inside you will find a lever which opens one of thedoors in the previous room.

Go there and kill some Hollow Men. There are some pipes in the middle and some spheresflying between them #1. Each one of them changes the colour to yellow or red after stoppingin the centre. You dont have to hurry, just hit the spheres as they stop and destroy them asa result. In the end, doors leading to a lever will open #2.

Head back and go to the other side, to the last gate. This time, a Banshee will appear #1. Kilits minionsand then attack the monster itself. Infernoon the last level will finish her in oneshot. Some barrels will be blocking your path #2. Destroy them with a good shot from aranged weapon.

You will have to fight a Troll#1. You need to shoot the nerve tendrils on its body, avoidingthe boulders it will throw at you. A good way of defeating him is to use Time Controlfollowed by Inferno, once youre close to the enemy. Getting rid of him will open the door,behind which you will find the Ice Totem#2.

By activating it, you will restore the original weather, a blizzard #1. Kill the Bansheewhichwill appear after a while and go talk with Chieftainand the crowd #2. You have to choosewhich side you want to join the people (choose Jessica) who will be grateful for freeing themout of the hands of a tyrant, or Chieftain (choose him) who offers you 10,000 gold. The choiceis yours. In both cases, you will gain access to a cave in which you can freely change theweather on the island. By choosing the people you will gain some positive points and negativein the other case.

Additional InfoThe Box of Secrets shop

The shop is available on the Knothole Island. Its rather unusual, because you cant buyanything for cash in it, you can only exchange items. The table below shows you a list ofavailable packages, items you will find in the packages and products you have to give inexchange. The packages become unlocked after completing quest on the island.

The bibliophiles books

There are ten books describing the history of the island, hidden on Knothole Island.

You will get it from Gordon after activating thefirst mission.

Ice Totemmust be active!

Ice Shrine, in the room with the electric fields. Onthe right you find a cliff and a lever whichactivates a ladder. Go further, up the ladder. Youwill find the book at the end of the path.

Sun Totemmust be active!

Sun Shrine. The book is behind a wall, in theroom with a blue switch on the ground.

Storm Totemmust be active!

At the Storm Shrine, right after entering, on theright, between stalactites.
