WhatisAnti-AgingMedicine?Anti-AgingMedicineisaclinical/medicalspecialtyinthefieldofscientificresearchaimedattheearlydetection,prevention,treatment,andreversalofage-relateddecline.Itiswelldocumentedbypeer-reviewedmedicalandscientificjournalsandemploysevidence-basedmethodologiestoconductpatientassessments.TheAmericanAcademyofAnti-AgingMedicinewasestablishedin1992asaprofessionalphysiciancertificationandreviewboard,whichoffersphysicianrecognitionintheformofspecialty-basedexaminationinAnti-AgingMedicine.Itrepresents20,000physicians,scientists,healthprofessionals,andthehealthmindedpublicfrom80countriesworldwide.

WhatisRegenerativeMedicine?RegenerativeMedicineoptimizesthebody’sendogenousmechanismsofself-repairandaddsprovenandnearfutureexogenoustreatmentsandtechnologies.Adultstemcellsappeartobeourmostpowerfultoolatthistime.Previousdogmaconcerningadultstemcellstaughtthatneuronsandmyocytesdidnothavestemcellsandthecellspresentatbirthjustdeclinedinquantityandquality.Itwasalsobelievedthathematopoieticstemcellsinthebonemarrowlackedplasticityandcouldnottransformtoothertissues.Currentmedicalliteratureprovesthatadultstemcellsexistinmosttissuesincludingbrain,heart,musclesandliver.Hematopoieticstemcells(HSC)andendothelialprogenitorcells(EPC)inthebonemarrowhaveplasticitytopotentiallytransformandrepairalltissuesandorgans. •InthehormoneoptimizationcomponentofAnti-AgingMedicinewearealreadyoptimizingstemcells.
