2016 HBA Fellowship Program Healthcare Leadership

A community-based approach

The future of our community is directly linked to the quality of its leadership, the health of its economy and its people. The commitment of dedicated, educated, and motivated leaders can make a measurable impact on improving quality, reducing cost, and expanding access to healthcare.

But how can you get the right people in our community all focused on this vital mission? How can you give them the knowledge, tools, and a path forward to a common goal?

Introducing the 2016 Healthcare Business Academy Fellowship Program

Its strength is direct access to local healthcare leaders and national healthcare thought leaders who share their thinking and experiences in open knowledge-sharing forums.

The goal is to inspire local healthcare leaders to think differently and to experience the feelings of purpose, achievement, pride and the power of collaboration; to create a community of healthcare leaders that know and like one another and are inspired to make healthcare better for each of us, our families and the community.

Healthcare Business Academy Leadership Model

Tomorrow’s healthcare leaders must realize that many elements must be understood and value streams

continuously improved to provide the community and customers (patients) with world-class healthcare

services.

The leaders’ understanding of these factors and their ability to transform the healthcare organization is

critical to achieving this vision. The "Leadership Model" shown here is used within the HBA Fellowship

Program to help leaders focus on the various dimensions and factors and how they interrelate to deliver

world-class results

The Healthcare Business Academy Leadership Model is inspired by the Malcom Baldrige Healthcare

Leadership Model. Fellows will have the opportunity to complete a self-assessment before and after the

program and be able to quantify the value of the Fellowship Program to their organizations.
