During the celebration of All Saints Day and All Souls Day, the young people of our parish took the chance to raise funds by selling candles, mineral water, and soft drinks to the people who visited their dearly departed in the cemetery. The booth was opened 24 hours for three days with 4 shifts every 6 hours and there were youth ministers assigned in every shift. Indeed, it was a tiring but very fruitful event for our young people. They learned a lot out of that experience through planning, purchasing and selling the products. Indeed God is so good because the goal of that fundraising activity was achieved It will be used for the celebration of the year of the youth. Thank you for all the sponsors and to all who visited and bought the products. To God be the glory forever!

Advent PrayersShepherd’s CornerMga Minamahal kong Kapatid kay Kristo,

Maligayang Pasko! Malipayong Pasko!

MARANATHA!

1st Sunday of Advent (violet candle)O, Lord, we are waiting. Give us the strength to turn

from our sinful ways, in prayer especially through the celebration of Eucharist. Keep us from the things and

people who cause us to go away from you. Instead help us always to respond to the needs of our brothers and sisters. We ask this of you who lives and reigns forever.

Amen.

2nd Sunday of Advent (violet candle)O, Lord, help us to prepare for the coming of your

Son. We are often weak in mind and body and fail to show our love for you. Be present to us so that we will

always put the love of you and our neighbor above our selfishness. Inspire us in our celebration of the

Holy Eucharist. We ask this of you who lives and reigns forever. Amen.

3rd Sunday of Advent (pink candle)O, Lord, we beg you not to forget us. Hear the prayer

we bring to you especially at Sunday mass. We need your spirit to know the difference between what is good and what is evil. Lead us out of the darkness and into your light. We ask this of you who lives and reigns forever.

Amen.

4th Sunday of Advent (violet candle)O, Lord, through your power of grace and love, come

and help us. We are sorry for our sins and ask your help to change our lives, especially through the Sunday

Eucharist. We wish to do those things that bring your everlasting peace and joy. We ask this of you who lives

and reigns forever. Amen.

The Jubilee Prayer

The Jubilee Prayer

Time is running fast. A few days from now, we will celebrate the Advent

Season. Once again, it is Christmas time! The malleable stage of a child is very

important and very crucial. As parents, it is our responsibility to teach them about the values that we believe in and grow up with. Being a Christian, we want them to know Jesus as the Savior and Lord. But, introducing Him to them is a challenge. How are we going to bring Jesus to them when His presence is only in spirit? Here are some ways we could introduce Him to our children; create a home atmosphere that is loving and forgiving, bring them to mass, tell Bible stories to them, set good examples as Christians and attend some religious activities with them to discover that God’s presence is everywhere.

We, Christians, are children of light because Jesus walks in the same path. As we are about to enter the Advent Season, it is a right time to ponder on how we could walk as children of light. In Ephesians 5:8,10-11, we are invited “to walk as children of light and try to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness.”

In our present social context, marked by a dramatic struggle between the culture of life and the culture of death, there is a need to develop a deep critical sense that is capable of discerning true values and authentic needs. A general mobilization of conscience and a unified ethical effort to activate a great campaign in support of life is urgently called for us today. Together, we must build a new

culture of life to confront and solve issues and problems affecting human life and create an emphasis on the significance of the greatest creation of God, which is human life itself and address this greatest creation through the greatest gift of God which is love. In simple words, we, humans, must love our lives more than anything else. It must be the basic and solid reason for every human decision. Nothing more and nothing less. We can start the renewal by reviewing the beliefs and values we observe in the family. Let us ask ourselves with these questions. Why is the sacrament of marriage important? Do we have the knowledge on the formation of values and attitudes as parents being the first teachers to our children and as a Christian couple? How are we going to relate these to our Savior whose birthday we are to celebrate?

Family and Life Apostolate UpdateOn the 6th and 7th of October 2018, there

were eight (8) couples who completed the counseling course successfully.

On the 13th of October 2018, some members of the Family and Life Apostolate core group participated in the 25th-Anniversary celebration of the Light in the Eucharist Seminar (LITES). It was a reunion of all parishioners and parish-based organizations who were part of this family.

On the 20th of October 2018, Our Lady of the Assumption Parish joined the Mary Mediatrix Pilgrimage in Digos City, and some of the members attended it.

God of Goodness and Compassion with grateful and joyful hearts

we praise you for your faithfulness in taking care of our parish through the years

despite our human frailties.

In your great love for us you gave Your Son Jesus Christ, our food for

the journey, to show us the way to be united to you and to one another in mind and heart.

As we celebrate the 60th Diamond Jubilee of our parish,

Your local Church, send forth Your Holy Spirit so that we may become more zealous and

energetic to proclaim your goodness and generosity

in the midst of greed and corruption; keep our faith alive in times of persecution

and forever united in our hope for a better world.

We entrust all this to the maternal prayer of the Blessed Virgin Mary,

Our Lady of the Assumption. Amen.

aron nga kami mahimong mas madasigon ug maabtikon

sa pagsangyaw sa Imong kaayo ug kamanggihatagon

taliwala sa kadalo ug pangurakot;hinaut nga ang among pagtoo magpabiling buhi

panahon sa pagpanglutos ug makanunayong hiniusa sa among paglaum

alang sa mas maayong kalibutan.

Kining tanan among itugyan ngadto sa Inahanong pag-ampo

Our Lady of the Assumption

Twenty five years ago, the Blessed Sacrament

Community of Assumption Parish initiated the module for adult evangelization on the Eucharist known as Life in the Eucharist Seminar (LITES). Since then, the community has empowered the laity as their partners and collaborators in carrying out this module. The team here in Assumption Parish takes pride in spreading this to many places not only here in

Mindanao, but also in some places in the Visayas and even as far in Luzon.

It is with great joy that our parish celebrated the 25th Anniversary of LITES by the conduct of “BALIK LITES” last October 13, 2018 with the theme, ”LITES @25: We Remember, We Celebrate, We Believe”. The activity was a gathering of all LITES graduates in the parish for their bonding and spiritual renewal. The said activity was also part of the year-long celebration of the 60th Parochial Fiesta of the Our Lady of the Assumption Parish on August 2019.

There were 260 participants who attended and actively participated in the whole day affair. There were also delegates from the various GKK, Parish Organizations, Divine Mercy Apostolate, St. Peter Chaplaincy, Camp Catitipan, Mary’s Little Children Apostolate, the Sacramentinos, and Cascabel Contractor and Allied Services. We were also blessed to have Fr. Junvic B. Diolata,SSS, who represented the SSS Provincial Council and graced the memorable

The Eucharistic Youth Movement (EYM) is founded by Father Arnel Martinez, SSS, on the

16th of September 1993 with the approval of Father Conrad Goulet, SSS, the Local Superior of the Blessed Sacrament Congregation in Davao during this time. Since then, it has been a congregational apostolate.

The name of the group has its own evolution.

LITES CELEBRATES ITS

SOLEMNITY OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, KING OF THE UNIVERSE

25th Anniversary

25Years of Eucharistic Journey

Salag

hikalimtan nga ang g i n g h a r i a n

ni Kristo nga iyang gisugdan ug gisangyaw. I y a n g gitugyan sa Simbahan. Kitang tanan gitawag sa

kanunay s a

Mamahimo lamang kini kung kita magpuyo diha sa pagkamapaubsanon ug pagpangaliyupo kanunay sa pag-ingon: “CHRIST THE KING, HELP US TO BE MORE LIFE-GIVING”.

Sama kang Maria nga miingon: “My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord: my spirit rejoices in God my Savior….The mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is His name.” (Luke 1:46-47,49)

Christ the King, help us to be life-giving!!!

By: Sr. Rowena Veloz, SSS

Christ the King, Help us to be More Life-GivingTheme:

Pope Francis said to the crowds in St. Peter’s Square, “For the great human family, it is necessary to

renew always the common horizon toward which we are journeying. The horizon of hope! This is the horizon that makes a good journey”

Maranatha was a key watchword and prayer among the early Christians. It is an Aramaic word which is a combination of two words “marana - tha” literally mean “the Lord comes” or in the imperative case “Come, Lord!” Paul the Apostle used this Aramaic word at the end of his First Letter to the Corinthians, chapter 16, verse 22: “Come, Lord!” Be watchful, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love...

As Catholics, our whole lives are encounters and journeys with Jesus like in prayer and meditation, when we go to Mass, when we adore Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, when we do good works, when we bond with our family, when we visit the sick, when we help the poor or go to the outskirts, when we think of others, when we’re not self-centered, when we are joyful. We always encounter Christ in these things and the journey of life is exactly this: an encounter of Jesus.

“What direction?” It is the Lord himself who guides our journey, the “pilgrimage of all of the People of God;

and by its light even the other peoples can walk towards the Kingdom of justice, towards the Kingdom of peace.”

Encountering and journeying with Christ is not a one-time event. We encounter him every day. However, as humans, we always think of life and our sinfulness and pop-up a question in our minds “How can I encounter Jesus?” And let us always remember, the people Jesus tried to find most of all were the biggest sinners, while those who believed they were without sin would admonish Jesus for keeping company with sinners, Jesus would tell them, “I have come for those who need good health, who need healing, when we sin, Jesus comes and forgives us” through the sacrament of reconciliation.

Joan Chittister, in the book The Liturgical Year, comments: The year opens with Advent, the season that teaches us to wait for what is beyond the obvious. It trains us to see what is behind the apparent. Advent makes us look for God in all those places we have, until now, ignored.

Our Lord, come! Maranatha! Be with us on our journey to life”

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you. My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.

– 1 Corinthians 16:13-14, 22–24

ADVENT THEME REFLECTION

Maranatha! Lord Jesus, be with uson our journey to life.

occasion. The day started with the registration of the participants

followed by praise songs led by the Charismatic Group and then the animated Adoration. After the brief welcome ceremony and presentation of delegates, Fr. Eliseo Navarro,MI gave the first talk on the topic: ”We Remember”. Followed by, Fr. Jonelito Sison,SSS, who gave the second talk on the topic: We Celebrate, We Believe”. A small group sharing followed after the two inputs.

To nourish our physical being, lunch was served to the participants. After which is the nourishing of the spiritual being, the celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, which was presided by Fr. Randy Vergara,SSS. After the Eucharistic Celebration, the participants moved to the 3rd Floor of the Parish Pastoral Center Building to continue the program consisted of the dancing of the LITES March,

watching the Audio Visual Presentation on the 25 years milestone, and the personal testimony by one of the young members of LITES. The day ended up with a simple fellowship. As a way of our thanksgiving, appreciation, and recognition to all those people who worked hard and contributed to make the celebration a real success, a special dinner was served where the Blessed Sacrament Community of Priests, Brothers, and Sisters together with the LITES team in attendance. Everyone enjoyed the sumptuous food and each other’s company.

May the words of St. Peter Julian Eymard inspire to become Apostles of the Eucharist: “When we work hard, we must eat well. What a joy, that you can receive Holy Communion often! It is our life and support in this life- receive communion often, and Jesus will change you into himself” (To Me. Grisaud,January 13,1851)

Originally, the group was named Youth Eucharistic League (YEL), a junior affiliation of the People’s Eucharistic League (PEL) believing that the youth should emulate the PEL’s charism. Due to the negative notion of the term league, the animators decided to change its name into Emmaus Youth Movement (EYM) which was inspired from the gospel of Saint Luke about The Walk to Emmaus story. Still, the group had some discussions after the creation of this new name. The movement realized that the name should bear directly the charism of the group which is making Jesus known in the Eucharist to the youth. That is why the first word Emmaus was changed into Eucharistic. After all the pondering, the group finally decided to name it, Eucharistic Youth Movement (EYM). This year is the 25th Founding Anniversary of the group.

Being young evangelizers of God, we went through series of spiritual formations, retreats, recollections, and adoration to the Blessed Sacrament. Our main apostolate is to give seminars and formations to our fellow youth. One of these is the Basic Orientation on Eucharist for the Youth (B.O.E.Y) to different parishes and dioceses.

As part of the celebration of our 25th founding

anniversary, we had our thanksgiving mass held at Assumption Parish Davao on the 16th of September 2018. After which, we had a simple fellowship and gathering with some of the former and present members of the EYM. It was a day full of fun and laughter as we reminisced different memories and experiences.

To highlight our celebration, we had scheduled series of activities to collaborate with our 60th Parochial Fiesta on August 2019. First activity was the Balik LITES held last October 13 as the LITES Davao also celebrated its 25th anniversary. The EYM supported wholeheartedly to make this activity possible. The next activity is the Christmas Outreach Program which will happen this coming December. Since the charism of the group is making Jesus known to our fellow youth, we will also bring Jesus to the chosen less fortunate families by giving them surprise gifts to share among one another on the birthday of our Eucharistic Lord. Lastly, we are planning to give more BOEY seminars to our fellow youth in the parish, youth in our neighboring parishes and youth under the Blessed Sacrament communities especially this year as we celebrate the Year of the Youth.

All these for the greater glory of God. Here’s to more years of Eucharistic journey!!!

ADVENT has a two-fold character, for it is a time of preparation for the Solemnities of Christmas, in which the First Coming of the Son of God to humanity is remembered, and likewise a time when, by remembrance of this, minds and hearts are led to look forward to Christ’s Second Coming at the end of time. For these

two reasons, Advent is a period of devout and expectant delight. (Universal Norms on the Liturgical Year and the General Roman Calendar, 39)

Liturgical Meaning of the Next Days…

THE NEXT DAYS OF THE CHRISTMAS OCTAVE show that Christmas is also a Feast of Christ’s Final Coming when He will be surrounded by His angels and saints, the latter represented by Saint Stephen, Saint John the Apostle, and the Holy Innocents. December 26, 2018, Wednesday Feast of Saint Stephen, First MartyrStart of the Visitation of the Child Jesus within our Parish to be led by the Knights of the Eucharist or Altar Servers. December 28, 2018, Friday Feast of the Holy Innocents

The Church celebrates the memory of the twenty or so babies whom Herod put to death in his attempt to kill Jesus. Thus, these innocent victims bear witness to Christ to a world unwilling to receive Him.

To highlight the Feast of the Holy Innocents who have perished through abortion, starvation and war, everyone is encouraged to light candles and offer prayers at our Parish Monument of the Unborn Child near the Sacristy immediately after the 6:00AM mass. This activity is to be led by our Family and Life Apostolate.

December 29, 2018, Saturday 5:45 p.m. – Thanksgiving Mass and Start of Parish-Wide Christmas Party

All Parish Organizations, Liturgical Ministers and Chapel Communities or GKK’s are encouraged to participate and attend this Celebration of Thanksgiving. December 30, 2018, Sunday Feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph/ Blessing of Families

Apart from those seasons having their own distinctive character, there remains in the yearly cycle those weeks (33 or 34) that do not celebrate a specific mystery of Christ. Rather, especially, they are devoted to the mystery of Christ in all its fullness. This period is known as Ordinary Time. (General Norms 43) Ordinary Time begins on Monday, January 14, 2019 and continues through Tuesday, March 5, 2019, the day before Ash Wednesday, March 6, 2019, which is the beginning of the Lenten Season. It will resume when the Easter Season ends, that is on Monday, the day following Pentecost Sunday and ends after the Feast of Christ the King, November 24, 2019.

Our Lady of Assumption Parish6 7UPDATES

The Parish Social Action Ministry or PSAM is motivated by the call to give an

improved social action program with the goal to extend help to our community especially to our less fortunate brothers and sisters. Having this purpose, all organizations and programs under the PSAM went through a day of planning. In God’s grace, the ministry created a 3-year plan for each organization.

Saving lives is one of the important values of this ministry. In coordination with Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) along with our PSAs and other volunteers, the bloodletting activity held on the 29th of July 2018 at the Assumption Parish Pastoral Building Conference Room had a great outcome wherein ninety-one (91) individuals donated blood successfully.

Disaster preparedness management is one of the essential factors that this ministry is keeping in mind. Thus, the Parish Disaster

Action Response Team or the OLAP DART is enhancing the programs and activities to extend more help to our parish communities. They are reinforcing members and planning to recruit from our youth members for other planned activities such as first aid and camp management training to improve our disaster preparedness management. Currently, they are volunteering actively during Sunday masses to assist and maintain a smooth parking and traffic flow. The OLAP DART also purchased new equipment for communication and kitchen utensils for food preparation during disasters. There are more social action activities planned to be firmed up, and the whole team hopes to have everyone’s full support and prayers to a more improved and strengthened Parish Social Action Ministry.

As Catholics, we must live not only in words but also in deeds.

Every Province of the Blessed Sacrament celebrates its Chapter every after four years. The Chapter is a gathering of perpetually professed religious chosen or elected by each community to become a delegate. The 8th POLA Chapter was scheduled on October 22-27, 2018. In the Chapter, these religious are called capitulars who participate in the deliberation, discussion and decision-making on different and varied issues confronting the Province. These are the highlights in the Chapter: the Approval of the New Vision-Mission of the Province, the Election of the New Provincial Superior and His Council, the Presence of the General Superior and A General Council Member and the Celebration of the Presence of Each Religious representing the whole Province. In this Chapter, twenty-six capitulars had gathered for this momentous and very important occassion. It was significant because they were the ones who elected the New Provincial Superior and His Council and who set the direction of the province for the

next four years. On the third day of the Chapter, the election of the New Provincial Superior and the Council Members was held.

On the 24th of October 2018, the election of the New Council was conducted. The New Council is composed of the following:Provincial Superior: Rev. Fr. Roel Lopez Dela Cruz, SSSFirst Consultor and Vicar Provincial: Rev. Fr. Rudsend Pansacula Paragas, SSSSecond Consultor: Rev. Fr. Reynaldo Rayo Capili, SSSThird Consultor: Rev. Fr. Being together for almost a year, the whole Sagop Kinabuhi Program 2 (SKP2) has

become a family. Their relationships as a core group, facilitators and participants flourish into one big compassionate family. From planning and preparing for the 17-week psychosocial and psycho-spiritual formation, succeeding the moving up and family fun day to sustaining the weekly sober life fellowship, they journeyed together as a family.

It is true that this journey has never an easy path for everyone. It is a hard

truth that the Persons in Recovery (PRs) are struggling to maintain their sober life. This tussle manifested the extreme decrease in the number of attendees during the weekly sober life fellowship for the last few months. With this, the Giya Alang sa Bag-ong Atubang sa Yugto sa kinabuhi (GABAYs) were inevitably worried. Living their commitment as GABAYS, they did not allow pessimism to control them, instead, they let optimism rule over through a visitation to all PRs bringing with them the sense of family through fellowships like food packs and small talks. This visitation happened on the 14th of October 2018. It was a very heartwarming gesture from GABAYs of which the PRs

appreciated deeply. Through this kind act, the number of attendees during the weekly sober life fellowship increases which happens at 6 o’clock in the evening every Friday. During the fellowship, the kindness and genuine support of our Parish Priest Fr. Hermie Garcia, SSS and GABAYs were very evident as they gave the PR attendees respective food packs along with a transportation allowance for them to go home safely after the activity. Aside from this weekly gathering, the whole SKP2 family also supports the SKP2 Basketball Team with their tune-up games every Sunday with the help of the sponsors for the venue of the said activity.

After all the invigorating activities fulfilled by the SKP2 family, everyone is looking

forward to another challenging chapter as the team plans to expand their family and to launch the Second Batch of the Sagop Kinabuhi Program 2 before this year ends. Our Parish Priest along with the GABAYs, PRs, and ASAC (Archdiocesan Social Action Center) SKP2 Facilitators are all hoping for a yet another successful batch with a more intensified support by our parishioners through kindhearted donations and genuine prayers.

The Archdiocesan of Davao held a gathering of all Gagmayng Kristohanong

Katilingban Servant Leaders or GSLs on the 27th of October 2018 at the 4th floor, Martin Hall, Ateneo de Davao University in Jacinto Street, Davao City. This assembly started at 7:00 in the morning through a Holy Rosary. Specifically, this was attended by PSKs, GKK treasurers, cluster leaders, zonal leaders, and some youth members. The parish had forty (40) participants of the said activity. As a whole, there were three thousand five hundred (3,500) participants all over the archdiocese who attended this event. In this gathering, the Archdiocesan GKK Director Rev. Fr. Pedro P. Lamata and the Archdiocese Social Action Coordinator Rev. Fr. Bong Dublan together with our dear Bishop George Rimando, D.D., were present to support.

The theme of this event is “Makapanaw uban sa pundok sa kabatan-onan sa kinabuhi ug misyon sa simbahan diha sa GKK.” (To journey with our youth in a life and mission in the Church through the Basic Ecclesial Communities). In this theme, Fr. Lamata emphasized the significant role of our youth as future servant leaders in our local communities. He shared this to remind us that 2019 will be the Year of the Youth. The Archdiocese of Davao is executing plans and programs to highlight the essential role of our youth such as the creation of a registry book in every GKK. In the said

event, Fr. Dublan stressed the importance of it in order to easily trace the members of every community in times of calamities and disasters and to quickly assess and assist the affected areas.

The activity ended by a mass presided by Archbishop Romulo G. Valles, D.D., Archbishop of Davao together with other bishops and priests of Davao. During the homily of Archbishop Valles, he expressed the sad reality of the two elections in our country. In politics, many candidates work so hard to win. Mostly, they spend money for advertisements and think different strategies to win the position they opt to. On the other hand, in our GKKs, it is a normal and common reaction for those who are nominated to easily refuse and make excuses in order not to win and to have the responsibility it entails. It is satirical really. True indeed, being a GSL is a grace from God. No human comprehension can explain the service that one GSL has to offer. The title “servant leader” already signifies the absurdity of it. But then again, the way God sees, thinks and acts is not the way the humans do. By nature, human desire is self-centered, while God’s will is purely selfless. This is the truth of our human existence. Let us hope and pray that there will be more hearts ready to listen God’s voice to serve especially for our future servant leaders which is the youth.

The Archdiocese of Davao celebrates every September as the month of Vocations. In

line with this, the Blessed Sacrament Vocation Club (BSVC) of the Our Lady of the Assumption Parish prepared month-long celebration activities to promote vocations.

The theme of this year’s vocation month is “Come, See and Follow me.” The celebration commenced on the 9th of September 2018 through a Eucharistic celebration presided by the BSVC National Vocation Director, Fr. Marlon Reyes, SSS. After the mass, the blessing and opening of the Parish Vocation Exhibit followed immediately. It highlighted the different vocations covering facts and information to facilitate young men and women in their discernment.

On the 8th and 23rd of September 2018, the BSVC members together with Fr. Marlon and Br. Ted visited some parishes in Davao City and Mati City for a vocation promotion. They distributed and posted brochures, leaflets and other promotional materials during their visitations.

On the 29th of September 2018, the event was culminated through a whole day activity. The occasion was blessed with kindhearted individuals who shared their chosen vocations. The first sharer was Ms. Imeelyn C. Adolfo who gave an input about Vocation and The Eucharist. The second sharer was a couple, Jik-Jik and Sharlene Sinfuego, who partook about Married Life. The third sharer was Ms. Virgie Boltron,

one of the members of the Secular Institute of the Blessed Sacrament Servitium Christi, who presented a short background about the Institute and Single Blessedness. The last sharer was Fr. Ronel Fulo, SSS, who told his vocation story in responding God’s call to the Religious Life.

Aside from the inputs given, the culmination had other activities. There was an Animated Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament led by the members of the BSVC and Eucharistic Youth Movement to end the morning activity. A Vocation Bingo Game and Cosplay of Saints, participated by some youth from GKKs and Parish Organizations, MIC Postulants and Sisters, Blessed Sacrament Postulants, Fathers and Sisters and student catechists from Assisi Group, were added to give life of the said finale. The event was indeed a great success with the help of dedicated people who gave their time, talents, and determination for the greater glory of God.

May the words of Pope Francis be our inspiration in discerning our vocation, as he said, “The Lord’s call – let it be said at the outset – is not as clear-cut as any of those things we can hear, see or touch in our daily experience. God comes silently and discreetly, without imposing on our freedom. Thus, it can happen that his voice is drowned out by the many worries and concerns that fill our minds and hearts.” (Message of His Holiness Pope Francis for the 2018 World Day of Vocations)

As part of our 60th Foundation and Parochial Fiesta celebration

in 2019, the parish conducted a Marian Pilgrimage last October 20, 2018 at the Our Lady of Mediatrix of All Graces and The Benedictine Nuns of the Eucharistic King (OSB) in Digos City.

The said activity was participated by the leaders and members of the different GKK (Gagmay’ng Kristohanong Katilingban) and Parish Organizations. A prayer activity was done in each bus all throughout the journey to Digos City, which was headed by the Catechist.

As one of the participants of the pilgrimage, I could say that it was a great experience because I was able to

contemplate in praying the mysteries of the Holy Rosary as it was done reflectively. I felt privileged to be able to join this Marian Pilgrimage because I had the chance of knowing the Blessed Virgin as The Our Lady of Mediatrix deeply. That Mary more than being our mother is also our mediator to God. As mediator she makes us closer to her Crucified and Glorified Son, Jesus Christ. The pilgrimage experience is truly a God given grace that I received as I journey with our parish with grateful and joyful heart and with Mary. May the Blessed Mother continue to be with us in all our 60th celebration activities as we do everything all for the glory of her Son.
