– West Iberia Operational regional model forcing / validation (SST, sea level)

– Azores Operational model forcing / validation

– Biogeochemical operational modeling for both applications

Potential Fishing Zones Prediction In Azores Region

• It has been regarded as a valid approach to a more sustainable and effective way of fishing / opposite to a non-scientific, random choosing of fishing spots

• Very active field of work in the last 10 years: in East Indian Ocean countries, Southeast Asia, Japan, Canada and Brazil


The methodology can be extended to other species and other regions
