1. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? Rebel Radio has used a wide variety of conventions of radio news. We have varied our types of stories and how they are conveyed throughout our presentation. This is to make our bulletin sound interesting and for our listeners to enjoy hearing the most recent stories in many varied ways. We developed a electro - dubstep bed for our bulletin as this is the type of music our target audience is in to. We hope that our audience will listen to our stories whilst enjoying the bed placed underneath it. All bulletins seems to follow a coherent structure. We noticed this through listening to several radio news bulletins from major radio broadcasters ourselves. Examples of stations we listened to were BBC radio 2 and Capital. We listened to many different stations of different varieties to see if they all followed a similar structure to presenting news. We found that they presented news in different ways from one another. Some presenting it in a funky style whilst others took a more formal approach; but ultimately they all followed a pattern. We incorporated this pattern into our radio news bulletin. Our radio news bulletin takes conventions of other radio news bulletins but modifies and adapts them in order to make them suit our target audience. The stories are presented in a fast-paced manner as they can keep up with that pace. Our news bulletin starts with a jingle that is short but cool. This is to really entice our target audience into the bulletin. We decided upon this jingle for that very reason. The jingle then cuts to the introduction which is very to the point, this is so that the audience understand what's about to happen.

Our first story is presented as a Cue and Voicer. We chose this format as it was a breaking news story and we had a lot to say about it. We found it imperative that our target audience was well informed about this as it was a shocking event. Our second story was done in the format of a copy story. This is so that all the information in the story could be clearly presented to them in an easy to understand manner. This was important for this story as it was also a breaking news story that had to be reported on urgently and efficiently.

Our third story was told in the format of a back anno. This is so that we could insert a clip of the manager of Ryde arena speaking. Our target audience will be able to clearly understand the position Ryde arena is in. Our fourth story was another copy story with a stab in it. This was just a simple story about an arena so we chose this method as it is the most convenient way to convey the information.
