Q3) - What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

Harris Publications are a consumer magazine publishing company that are based in New York, USA. They publish many types of magazines like lifestyle, music, health and hunting. They publish the famous worldwide known Hip-Hop magazine XXL. I think that they may publish my magazine as they do publish for various different kinds of industries one of them being music, I think that because they already publish a hip=hop magazine have a different genre would benefit them a lot. Looking at the publishing history of Harris Publications, the company has been publishing magazines of many types. Perhaps they may look into hybrid music genre magazine.

The reason I chose not to go for Alpha Media Group is because they have shown a let-down by stopping the publication of the Blender magazine, and if for any reason my magazine doesn’t do as well as others they may dismiss my one also. I don’t think that IPC Media would necessarily be interested in publishing my magazine because Papparazzi is not an indie or a rock magazine, like NME is. Then again they may want to publish magazines of different music genres.
