When I initially used the Samsung HMX-F90 camera, I was a bit clueless only knowing the basics of zooming in and out, however as I experimented with different camera angles I found the advantages to things like Smart Auto helping to focus the camera when need be, I also got the hang of smoothly recording clips simultaneously between each other. EvaluationWhat have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this project?

I have learned a great deal with using various techniques in 'Sony Vegas Pro 12', which is was my chosen editing software. And using the 'Samsung HMX-F90' when recording. Once all was recorded, I found it simple to export the files onto my editing software, putting the USB into the camera and computer and simply taking the files out of the original folders.

The editing software I used was 'Sony Vegas Pro 12', this is a complicated piece of software, at times, and required me to consistently rearrange with various parts of the film. I found the basic colour correction edits of: Saturation, Gamma, Brightness and Contrast easy enough, but I hang to get to grips with the use of Distortion in audio files to make a disaster seem a bit more realistic. I had to consistently add extra clip to achieve the 'glitch' effects (mostly found in the titles and credits sequence), I also had to add additional audio tracks that played at the same time (sometimes even four at once). Adding Titles and Credits was not much of challenge as I had to create text and pan and crop them to my desired size. Sony Vegas Pro 12 also allowed me to name Video and Audio tracks displayed on the side so I could easily manage what clips to put where. It also allowed ease to create transition timing as I consistently use cuts but rarely use dissolves. Overall the piece of software was perfect to edit with, other softwares like iMovie or Windows Movie Maker would not have been able to handle the capacity of clips or would have made the job more difficult than Sony Vegas Pro 12 would make it. It also allowed me keyframe with ease, simply selecting the clip, changing the distance to zoom in and out and finishing; this is not achievable in the other softwares (at least not as simple).I also used online technologies; this allowed me to present my coursework with ease. Using Blogger as a means to host all of my information, I was able to show when and how I done things across the project. It allowed me to post information in text form, video form and picture form due to its embedding system. I also used other technologies to present my work; to name a few: SlideShare, Prezi, Emaze, Scribd and authorSTREAM. All of these presentation softwares allowed me to present my work in a different manner to Blogger, often, this when I wished to utilise pictures or shapes to show information rather than text. This, in turn, taught me some presentation skills, and this creativity was extracted onto my two minute opening.
