  • 1. What have you learnt abouttechnologies from the process ofconstructing this product?

2. Software Photoshop Web browser Slideshow software Word processor Survey Monkey Slideshare Blogger 3. Photoshop I have learnt a lot using photoshop, I used it to design mymagazine layout and then once again for the finalmagazine draft. I already knew a bit about it before startingthis project so it wasnt too hard for me to use, but I havelearnt more a long the way. Positives: Produces high quality images, Easy to editphotos in, You can create pretty much anything. Negatives: Has massive file sizes, can be overlycomplicated for things such as undoing/redoing, Need agood computer to run it on. 4. Web Browser Without using a web browser this project wouldhave been impossible, I used a web browsermainly for my research. With the use of googleand other search engines, I was able to findeverything I needed to know about who I shouldtarget my magazine at and what othermagazines are out there. 5. Slideshow software I used two different slideshow softwares duringmy project, I used microsoft powerpoint andopen office slideshow. I had to use open officeat home as I havent bought MS powerpoint. Both softwares are very similar and use thesame file type making it easy to import my workinto both. Both slideshow softwares are verysimilar and made my project a whole lot easierfor presenting information and data. 6. Word Processor I also used two different word processors formy project as once again I didnt have microsoftword at home, Instead I used the open officefree word processor again. I didnt use a wordprocessor for much other than planningdocuments as I typed most of work out directlyonto my blog. 7. Survey Monkey I have never used survey monkey before andfound it really easy and quick to use. It wasperfect for sending out a survey to friends andassociates to carry out my audience research. The Only problem I had with it was the fact youcould only ask 10 questions. Preferably I wouldhave liked to have asked more to get a widerknowledge of my audience, but you had to payto do this. 8. Slideshare Slideshare was very useful as a quick way ofuploading my slideshows onto my blog, insteadof having to upload every slide individually, Iused slideshare to upload my presentation asone. It is very easy to navigate and was veryuseful in presenting my work. 9. Blogger I used blogger to upload and present all mywork. It was not that hard to get your headaround, even though I did struggle at thebeginning. Its very useful for uploading all yourwork in one place making it easily accessible. The only problem I can see with it is that its apublic blog and others may be able to find itand copy work. 10. Hardware PC DSLR Camera Smart Phone 11. PC A PC is probably the most important piece ofhardware I used. I used it to store, design &research everything I needed. Without it thetask would have been impossible. 12. DSLR Camera I have used a DSLR Camera before so kind ofknew what I was doing, but I also learnt a lot along the way. It was very useful as it provideshigh quality digital images that I used in my finalmedia product. 13. Smart Phone I used a smart phone (iPhone) to record myinterview for my audience research and also toemail pictures to myself to pick up on mycomputer, I also captured the picture on thefront cover at a gig I went to using my smartphone. Its very useful as its portable and Ialways have it on me if theres anything I needto send from it.
