Dear Shito Ryu Karate friends,

for the members of the Slovak Shito Ryu Karate Association it is anhonor to welcome you in Slovakia for the fourth time. The last threeChampionships where predominated by a spirit of friendship and fairsporting atmosphere. We are expecting with great encouragement the 4thEuropean Shito Ryu Karate Federation Championships which are to beheld in June, 2016 in Nové Zámky, Slovakia.

We would like to welcome in Nové Zámky all the participants,delegates, relatives and Shito Ryu Karate friends, who will come to ourtown and we hope all of them will enjoy our town and the 4th EuropeanShito Ryu Karate Championships.

The town of Nové Zámky was mentioned for the first time in 1545 as adefense stronghold against Turkish raids. The original rectangular layoutwas with four auricle bastions. Several years later a new castle was builton the opposite bank of the river Nitra – the present name of the town isderived from the castle. The castle known also as Castrum Novum wasbuilt in the regular hexagonal star-like layout. It had six multifloor bastionsfrom which only the names have been preserved – Žerotin´s, Fridrich´s,Caesar’s, Czech, Ernest´s, and Forgach´s. In the dramatic strugglebetween the Habsburgs and Turks the castle got into hand of Turks in 1663who cruelly ruled there until 1685, when the territory of the town wasconquered back by the army of Carl of Lotharingie. In 1691 EsztergomArchbishop Gyorgy Szécsényi issued the document granting town´s andother important privileges to Nove Zámky. Only a few monuments andbuildings of this history have been preserved, though, as most of themwere destroyed during the 2nd World War between 1944 and 1945 due tothree bomb-attacks. After the 2nd World War the town was newly rebuilt.But in spite of it in the district museum Roman inscription plates and otherdocuments about the first settlements in the town can be found.

Insurance: All participants must affect their own medical insurance and personal tripinsurance. The organizers are taking no liability for these concepts. The competitorsstart on their own risk, the Chief of the delegation have to sign the enclosed terms ofresponsibility sheet and return it by March, 30th 2016.

Participant: Full and provisional ESHRKF members Federations and Groups. Non-member, Federations, Groups and Individuals wishing to participate in theChampionships will have to contact the organizers to arrange the terms of theirparticipation. System: ESHRKF Rules for Kata and Kumite competition will be applied. Full repechage fortwo third places will be done. In case when Championships will be in time shortage, Kumite bout can be cutshorter about 30 sec. This provision can be applied in Kumite age categories from 12years to 17 years. In category male senior +18 can be Kumite bout shortened from 3 minutes to 2minutes. This provision shall not apply to the medal bouts in all Kumite age categories.

Referees: Referees with National, Style & International qualification are welcome. Participating

Referees should attend pre Championship briefing and hand over their Karate Passportwith confirmation of an allotted license. After briefing Referees will seat and passtheoretical examination from ESHRKF competition rules. At the briefing Refereecommission will appoint Match area Controller, Appeal jury, deploy Referees andJudges to Tatami. Regular ESHRKF Federations, Groups have obligation to presentminimum four (4) and maximum eight (8) Referees for the Championship, Federationsor Groups, who will not present Referees will be penalized by fine of 70€.

TERMS OF RESPOSIBILITY

Federations and Groups should fill, sign and send back before 30th March, 2016 I, ____________________________________________ the undersigned , as a Chief ofdelegation of my Federation, Group, duly enrolled to participate in the 4th European Shito RyuKarate Federation Championships, which will be held in Nové Zámky, Slovakia, from the 18thto 19th of June, 2016, with full knowledge of the Statutes, the Rules and the Norms ofEUROPEAN SHITO RYU KARATE FEDERATION, pledge myself to faithfully accomplish theregulations of this entity mentioned above. And I take any and all administrative, civil andcriminal responsibilities of whatever happens to our athletes, coaches and other members ofour delegations participating in this Championship, before, during and after the competition,such as physical injuries, personal expenses, or monetary debts and casual material damagesto the hotels, the venue, means of transportation etc. Furthermore, I exempt from any legal, civil or criminal responsibilities the organizer of theChampionships, the ESHRKF, its directors, as well as any person, company, or entity related tothe event ( sponsors, public, and private entities).
