What is an Europe without Greece if even name of it comes from Greek mythology?

Page 5: Europe

From where comes the name Europe? The name 'Europe’ has long been thought to

have been derived from the ancient myth of Zeus and Europa.

Page 6: Europe

Herodotus, however, does not believe the tale of the Phoenician princess, theories regarding the origin of the name 'Europe’ range from it being of Greek origin meaning “wide gazing”, a reference to the breadth of the shoreline as seen from sea or from the Phoenician for “evening”, as in the place where the sun would set. Today, as it was in Herodotus’ time, no one can say for certain where the name 'Europe' originated. To the ancient Greeks, the Aegean sea and environs were the center of the world. The Phonecians regularly sailed across and up the Atlantic to harvest tin from Europe at Cornwall but, to the Greeks, Europe was a dark continent (in the same way that 19th and early 20th century Europeans CE would later view Africa).

Archaeologists in Bulgaria say they have uncovered the oldest prehistoric town found to date in Europe.

Archaeologists believe that the town was home to some 350 people and dates back to between 4700 and 4200 BC. That is about 1,500 years before the start of ancient Greek civilisation.

Today Europe is the most developed continent on Earth, but its start had not been glorious, how you see.

Page 25: Europe

Adopt one statement, every country/group of countries has its birth, golden era, black era and death.

Page 26: Europe

Europe had black ages (middle ages), 30 years of war, I WW, II WW, but it survived and is much stronger then had ever been.
