Entamoeba histolytica

(amebiasis, severe diarrhea)

Acquired throughconsumption of contaminated food or water.

Trophozoite is feeding andreproducing stage and causesdisease. Cyst is circular and is what is ingested. Trophozoiteforms pseudopodia.

Target nuclei in both.
