ChildhoodEugenia Kanaeva was born April 2, 1990 in Omsk. Her mother Svetlana Kanaeva - master of sports in rhythmic gymnastics. However, at the age of six years in the sport Eugene led grandmother who loved gymnastics and figure skating. Despite his young age, Eugene showed great potential. Her first coach Elena Arays (the daughter of the present personal trainer Yevgeniya Kanayeva Faith Shtel’baums) was struck by her desire to learn a new complex elements. Shtel’baums, which worked in the same sports school, too, remembers the days when Zhenya remained in the hall after all the children had gone home, worked long hours, and grandmother was waiting for her granddaughter in a cool, dark corridor.

At the age of 12 years, Yevgeniya Kanayeva invited for a training camp in Moscow as

part of a group of young gymnasts from Omsk. Her performance caught the

attention of Amina Zaripova - trainer responsible for training of juniors. Eugene was invited to train in the Olympic reserve

school.

Climbing Kanaeva on a pedestal among adults has been difficult due to the fact

that Russia has many talented gymnasts. In the summer of 2007 was already known to the Russian team at the European championship in Baku -

Kabaeva, Cecina, Kapranova. But having received a serious trauma of the left Alina Kabaeva. To replace Kabaeva

Wiener chose Kanayev, and entrusted her to fulfill one subject - tape. Despite

the brevity of his appearance on the carpet, Kanaeva has not let his coaches and fans. Evgeny won gold in the final

with ribbon and in the team competition. A few months later, she won gold at the world Championships
