PATTERN STITCHES Teardrop Pattern (multiple of 9 sts) Rnds 1 - 5: *p1, k3, p2, k2, p1; rep from * to end of rnd. Rnd 6: *p1, k1, drop next st from left ndl, k1, p2, k1, yo, k1, p1; rep from * to end of rnd. Rnds 7 - 11: *p1, k2, p2, k3, p1; rep from * to end of rnd. Rnd 12: *p1, k1, yo, k1, p2, k1, drop next st from left ndl, k1, p1; rep from * to end of rnd. Repeat rnds 1 - 12 for Teardrop Pattern.

INSTRUCTIONS Cast on 296 sts. Join, being careful not to twist sts, and place marker to show beginning of rnd.
Set-up round: *p1, k1, yo, k1, p2, k2, p1; rep from * to end of round. 333 sts.
Work 71 rounds of Teardrop Pattern (5 full repeats, then rnds 1-11 once more), thus ending ready to work Round 12.
Concluding round: *p1, k1, drop next st from left ndl, k1, p2, k2, p1; rep from * to end of rnd. 296 sts.
Next round: bind off, working sts as knit or purl as they appear. Finishing Weave in ends. Wet-block scarf to finished measure-ments.
