ESSRBOND PG 101 is a two component pourable, self leveling polysulphide resin based joint sealant. ESSRBOND PG 101 is specifically designed to be used as a watertight seal for moderate movement and control joints in horizontal areas. ESSRBOND PG has excellent adhesion to concrete, stone, metal and other common building surface. The cured sealant has good resistance to most environmental chemical & resists deterioration on prolonged exposure to UV. ESSRBOND PG 101 is suitable for use in horizontal areas with a maximum slope gradient of 10%. BACK-UP MATERIAL

The backer rod will also provide resistance to sealant tooling pressure and help to attain proper wetting of substrate when the sealant is being tooled. The diameter of the backing rod shall be at least 20% larger but not greater than 33% of the joint width.CAUTION: Do not damage or poke holes in the backer rod dur ing of af ter installation, since this may cause air bubbles in the sealant and effect its performance.

MIXING & APPLICATION

ESSRBOND PG is supplied in pre-weighed two parts pack which requires on site mixing. Pour the hardener (part B) into the base (part A). Once the sealant has been installed a suitable rounded tool soaked in soapy water can be used to achieve an hour glass profile any masking tape app l ied shou ld be removed immediately after the sealant is installed.

PRIMING

Primer should be applied to clean, dry surface prior to the installation of backer rod or bond breaking tape. The joints edges shall be reprimed if the sealant installation is not carried out within 3 hours of application of the primer. For obtaining a clean neat finish, masking tape shall be applied on both the edges of the groove before applying the primer.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

JOINT PREPARATION

The joint surface must be clean, dry and free from oil, loose particles, cement and other contaminants which may affect the adhesion.

JOINT DESIGNS

The width of the joint should be a minimum of 4 times the anticipated movement. Joint with cyclic movement should have a wide to depth ratio of 2:1 for butt joint depth shall not exceed the width. the joint width and d e p t h s h o u l d b e m a i n t a i n e d a s recommended.Joint Width Ÿ 6mmŸ 50mmJoint depthŸ 6mmŸ 20mm for heavily trafficked floor joints

and areas exposed to hydrostatic pressure.
