– Gigabit Automotive Ethernet interface

– Enables easy access to Automotive Ethernet devices via a “standard” Ethernet connection

– Targeted for ECU measurement, calibration, diagnostics and flash programming

– Robust Lemo connector with certified signal integrity for Gigabit AE connection

– Easy Automotive Ethernet configuration

– Master – Slave modes selectable or set automatically

– AE speed 100/1000 Mbit selectable or set automatically

– Default setting after power up is “Auto” for both mode and speed

– Clear status indication by LED on the front panel

– Maximum configuration flexibility: speed setting may differ between Host and target connection

– The Data Loss LED indicates the overflow if the data throughput exceeds the capability of the lower speed connection

– Signal propagation compensation using PTP frames according to IEEE1588

– Enables accurate time synchronization over the complete measurement system

Note: For correct function the complete system has to support IEEE1588 mechanism, this is fulfilled if e.g. ES162/ES165 is connected to an ES8xx device

– Supports ETAS keep alive concept

– Automatically goes to Standby if no activity detected on Host

– Future safe by firmware updates via Hardware Service Pack (HSP)
