Come to Salisbury, a beautiful old city one and a half hours from the centre of London. There are two trains every hour, so catch a train from Waterloo railway station and visit us. There’s so much to see here.

Walk round the world-famous Salisbury Cathedral. Sit there for a few minutes and listen to the singers as they practise every morning. Walk along the river into the town centre and have tea in a traditional old tea room. You know how the English love their tea!

After tea, visit the market square. There’s a big market there on Tuesdays and Saturdays and there are also lots of

Beautiful Salisbury!interesting shops. There’s a department store, a big library, bookshops, a post office and four banks so change yourmoney and go shopping.

Go to the bus station and take a bus to Stonehenge, a very old monument 15 kilometres from the city centre. Walk round the stones and take photographs to show your friends and family at home.

In the evening go to one of the international restaurants or cafés and enjoy a delicious meal – Italian, French, Thai, Chinese, Indian. There are many different places to go to and of course you must try our traditionalEnglishfishandchips!

Hi, my name’s Stephen Jackson. I’m sixteen and I live in Brighton. I love it – it’s a fantastic city. I have a sister and a brother. My sister, Louise, is OK but we don’t go out together because she’s only fourteen. I play football with my friends at the weekend and she goes shopping with her friends. My brother, Luke, doesn’t live at home because he’s married.

My father, Ben, is a teacher and my mother, Anne, is a teacher too. They teach at my school but they don’t teach me!

My aunt and uncle, Jane and Peter, live near us in Brighton. They’re great and they often come to our house.
