Enviable Workplaces

A selection of expert speakers and facilitators, helping to create enviable workplaces in the New World of Work

Enviable Workplace was launched in 2010. At its core was creating great company culture – branding, physical space, employee engagement, talent acquisition, leadership, vision & values - to better attract, engage and retain talent. The initial mission was to act as an online resource for workplace leaders to help them and their companies find competitive advantage in the New World of Work.

Centred around a network of global experts, Enviable Workplace has always listened and responded to its clients’ challenges and requests. At the beginning of 2014, this resulted in the launch of a dedicated keynote, workshop and programme leadership resource to help uncover the leadership challenges of today and the future.

OverviewTo help leaders create, measure and communicate great company culture in order to attract, engage and retain future talent.

To always be professional and helpful in our approach, provide excellent client service, to be trusted partners and strive to deliver the maximum value and benefit for our clients at all times.

Mission Statement

The New World of Work favours adaptive leadership. So does Enviable Workplace. We revel in uncovering the leadership challenges of today and charting the next five years. Disruption. Evolution.

Enviable Workplace is not suitable for management that wants the same thing they were learning in 2008. But if your people are up for future proofing, Labmates James and Andy will take care of everything. They’ll tailor a bespoke programme, secure world class experts, handle logistics, all of it. No stress. It’s our responsibility. All you’ve got to do is tell us what workplace issue(s) you want us to focus on and let us quietly pull it all together.

Our knack is in listening and facilitating interactive programmes that allow senior teams to think about people and their industry differently - to shine in a world of work that’s full of complexity and uncertainty.

Leadership programmesNaturally, our workshops, masterclasses and bootcamps keep adapting. In the last 12 months, the following 5 key strategic areas of focus have been especially popular:

1) Future-focused mindset & strategic agility

2) The impact of disruptive forces

3) Adaptive leadership & communications

4) Employee engagement & company culture

5) Generational theory

Sometimes getting away from the office allows for improved learning journeys for senior management. We facilitate a full event service including venue, speakers, tailored content, promotion and materials.

If you choose to collaborate with Enviable Workplace, you’ll communicate regularly with James. He’ll be responsible for working with you to help design and facilitate the programme.

In the last 12 months, HR Directors and MDs from companies including Waitrose, AXA, ITV, Topshop, BBC Worldwide, Kleinwort Benson and John Lewis Partnership have trusted James to manage programmes that future proof their executives.

They know adaptive leadership is the constant. So they invest.

Result? Leadership and management programmes that fuse real world disruptive forces with the top academic insights – to navigate the world of work.

Chip ConleyHotel guru. Armchair psychologist. Traveling philosopher. Author Speaker. Teacher. Student. Chip Conley has lived out more than one calling in his lifetime.

No one has led the development, creation, and management of more boutique hotels than Chip Conley, founder and former CEO of Joie de Vivre (JDV). At age 26, Chip’s mission was to “create joy” by building a company that USA Today called “the most delightfully schizophrenic collection of hotels in America.” During his nearly 24 years as CEO, JDV grew to become the second largest boutique hotel company in America.

Chip shares his unique prescription for success in his book ‘PEAK: How Great Companies Get Their Mojo from Maslow’, based on noted psychologist Abraham Maslow’s iconic Hierarchy of Needs. His captivating TED talk has been viewed over 2m times.

The New York Times bestseller, ‘EMOTIONAL EQUATIONS: Simple Truths for Creating Happiness + Success’, is Chip’s latest book where he takes us from emotional intelligence to emotional fluency – placing meaning at the top of the balance sheet.

Filip is also the marketer at Enviable Workplace (and the guy writing in 3rd person in this brochure). This means being ruthless with content so that only enviable content makes the cut – because he hates investing reading time into lacklustre content and imagines you do too.

Besides marketing content, he is in charge of growing the website’s traffic and influence. Because let’s be real, if our mission of investing in enviable workplaces doesn’t reach people and further evolution, why bother?
