“Hook” StatementHere you should write no more than two lines that concisely explain the idea of the game. This is what will keep people reading so it needs to be good!
GenreThis is the style of the game. For example Action, Adventure, Strategy, Sport etc. it could be a mixture of more than one.
Target CustomerState who the audience is going to be for your game. Also identify any other games they might like to play.
CompetitionList any similar games on the market. State their names and identify how your game is different/better.
Unique Selling PointsWhat is unusual about your game? Explain how it will stand out from the crowd.

Story and NarrativeBackstoryExplain the story behind your game. What has happened before the game’s current story?
ObjectiveExplain what the player has to do to complete the game.
CharactersList your characters here, state their names, any special abilities, key information and pictures.
StorylineWrite an outline of the story here, list key events in the plot. State whether the story is linear (does it follow one path) or branching (multiple paths). You could include a diagram if you wish?

Testing and EvaluationWhen answering writing an evaluation you must cover what, how and why.
Poor example:
“The image on the game cover was good” (WHAT)
Good Example:
“The image on the game cover was good (WHAT) because it was very colourful and included a picture of the world and the main character which was very colourful (HOW). The bright colours would catch the reader’s attention and make them want to play the game” (WHY)
