This professional learning program aims to support academic staff to enhance their own resilience and embed resilience in their teaching and curricula. Funded by an ATN Innovation Grant, this program has been developed through a collaboration with Curtin University, Queensland University of Technology and the University of South Australia with input from national experts on student resilience and academic development. WHO WOULD BENEFIT? Academics with an interest in building their own resilience for a changing workplace. Academic staff wanting to build students’ capacity to manage the demands of university life. • Fieldwork and work-integrated- learning staff wanting to enhance students’ capacity to manage placement stress. You will be invited to participate in evaluative research of the program. Your involvement in this research is entirely voluntary; you can choose to simply participate in the professional learning opportunity. An information sheet will be provided with details when you register for the program. PROGRAM BENEFITS Access to a leadership development program tailored for academic staff. Engagement with current literature on resilience and leadership in higher education. Development of lifelong learning skills in relation to resilience and leadership development. Develop strategies and skills to enhance student resilience. Participation in peer coaching and mentoring to enhance your educational practices.
