Worthing

“Study English and enjoy England’s Sunniest

Climate!”

Worthing is a beautiful seaside town of 100,000 people on England’s south coast. Boasting a wonderfully tranquil 8km long promenade; Worthing has long been a popular place to escape from the noise and bright lights of the city. Oscar Wilde famously wrote his classic play, The Importance of Being Earnest, while on holiday in Worthing. Visitors love to swim in the same clear, clean

sea that the English Royal Family have been swimming and relaxing in for centuries. There is also a large indoor swimming pool close by for those who prefer.

The Victorian architecture that stretches the length of the promenade, gives Worthing a dignified feel. CES Worthing is comprised of three beautifully restored Victorian mansion houses. Worthing’s town centre has plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs and a wide range of leisure and sporting activities; yet Worthing is still a place where people have time to talk and it is easy to make new friends. All in all, the town has an atmosphere of relaxation and an unhurried lifestyle.

Worthing is very close to Chichester; a historic cathedral city which is famous for its Roman walls and 12th

century cathedral. The town of Arundel is also a short distance from Worthing. Arundel is renowned for its wonderful medieval castle and cathedral. Arundel Castle dates back to the 11

th century and is the

home of the Duke of Norfolk. Furthermore, Worthing is located beside the famous South Downs; an area of natural beauty and historic significance. There are many well-known landmarks on the Downs including the hill figure, “The Long Man of Wilmington.”

Worthing is only 1 hour and 15 minutes from London by train. So why not enjoy the tranquillity of this delightful seaside town and experience the excitement of London at the weekend!
