My name is Mateo. I like poems that rhyme because I think it makes poems sound much cooler and better. I also like concrete poems because making them is a lot of fun. In English class we were told to write 5 different types of poems. I wrote a couplet about my dog, a kenning about my brother, a concrete poem about my house, and an extended metaphor about my whole family. My poems theme is home. Home could not only mean the place where you live, it could also mean your family. I got inspired the write my poetry collection when I realized how lucky I was to have a place to rest and stay in, and family to support me.
