  • Constrains in implementation:Constrains in implementation:J.1 Lack of clear understanding about the National

    goal and time value.

    J.2 Delay in decision-making process.

    J.3 Delay in procurement of material, equipment and services.

    J.4 Acquisition/requisition of land.

    J.5 Lack of coordination among the implementing agencies and decision makers.

  • K. Conclusion:

    K1. To reach the cherished goal of the present Government i.e. a digital Bangladesh by 2021, we have to ensure adequate supply of energy. If we fail to ensure energy security, it would not be possible to attain the aspiration of the people of the country and the nation would be frustrated.

  • K.2 Government should make its best endeavour to supply adequate of energy. As step:

    i) make an attempt to assess the real need of present and future demand of energy (category and zone wise) to reach the goal with time e.g. electricity to every houses of Bangladesh;

    ii) make assessment of the indigenous source of energy available;

    iii) find out the gap between the demand and supply;

  • iv) increase supply by enhance production or development of gas & coal deposits;

    V) make all out effort to explore Petroleum and coal in the country both by public and private sectors;

    Vi) mitigate disparity in supplying energy to the west zone, use maximum throughput capacity of Jamuna bridge gas transmission pipe line and extend gas pipe line up to Khulna and Rangpur-Dinajpur.

  • K4.K4. In the process of implementation of the In the process of implementation of the aboveabove--mentioned activities about 2 to 4 Tcf mentioned activities about 2 to 4 Tcf Probable and Possible reserve of gas would Probable and Possible reserve of gas would be converted to Proved reserve. This would be converted to Proved reserve. This would give a big relief to the present crisis of energy give a big relief to the present crisis of energy and allow government a considerable time to and allow government a considerable time to go ahead with permanent solution to the go ahead with permanent solution to the energy security of Bangladesh. energy security of Bangladesh.

  • K3.K3. If the above mentioned measures are If the above mentioned measures are considered, 2 to 4 Tcf would be added to considered, 2 to 4 Tcf would be added to the Proved reserve. Would facilitate to the Proved reserve.
