At the Shepparton English Language Centre Outposts –
Wilmot Rd Primary School, Bourchier Street Primary School, St Georges Rd Primary School and Gowrie Street Primary School, Shepparton
All students in Australia need to learn about safety using gas and electricity. At the Shepparton English Language Centre Outposts, our students are New Arrivals to Australia from countries such as China, India, Afghanistan and Sudan. As part of their English language lessons, we have focussed on safety, with each outpost looking at safety in the kitchen and safety with gas and electricity.
Nasim shows us the kitchen rules.
Annas in the home corner.
Adila knows not to overload power points.

Bright, colourful posters adorn the
classroom walls about safety.
Our new arrivals at St Georges Road enjoy cooking once a week.
As part of Energy Safety Week, students increased their focus on safety in the kitchen, looking at the safe use of appliances.
