Plan for today



Lack of interoperability standards in the GI space Broker architectural approach. Deployment of virtual hubs (ensuring compliance with

INSPIRE and GMES/Copernicus services) at different territorial scales.

Full exploitation of open GI, stimulation of innovation and business activities.

Apps to demonstrate the validity of the concept. ENERGIC-OD has 15 partners from 6 European nations.

Exercise

“Three boats”



Do we have any volunteers? Please form groups of 5. 10 minute-long discussions, then rotate (twice). Captains stay with their boats and note key points. Presentations and forum discussion at the end!

Exercise details



Boat 1 Describe your needs in the geospatial data access space, and reflect on what they will be (how will they change) in 5 years’ time.

Boat 2 Highlight main limitations, risks and barriers to generating value from geospatial data.

Boat 3 What are the IT and business opportunities that can be exploited by firms of all sizes throughout Europe?
