Hold the receiver securelyagainst your ear with one hand.
With your other hand, adjust theclickstop turret and the voicetube so that the tip sits two fin-ger-widths from the corner ofyour mouth. (To prevent breathnoise, avoid putting the voicetube in front of your mouth.)
Carefully shape boom with bothhands as shown. Do not bend ortwist the boom within 1/2" ofthe microphone.
Position the clickstop turret andboom so that the microphone istwo finger-widths from the cor-ner of your mouth.
Make sure that the front of themicrophone faces your mouth. If necessary, carefully rotate the microphone into the proper posi-tion. Avoid repeated twisting ofthe boom.
To temporarily move the Noise-Cancelling microphone boomaway from your mouth, rotatethe boom grip. To return theboom to its original position, reverse the

The Polaris headset model is fit-ted with a standard modularconnector.
To use the Polaris headsetmodel, simply insert the modularconnector into the headset
The clothing clip keeps the head-set properly seated and freefrom the cord‘s weight. Attachthe clothing clip at acomfortable level.
Some models are equipped witha Quick Disconnect connector.This feature allows you to place a callon hold and move away from thephone without removing theheadset. When you separate theQuick Disconnect, you place anongoing conversation on hold.
Before using your headset, jointhe Quick Disconnect to themating connector of a plug prong, mod-ular or Polaris adapter cable.
To put your call on hold, graspthe Quick Disconnect as shownand pull straight apart.
To resume your conversation,reconnect the two halves.

• Replace voice tubes every 6 months
• Replace ear cushions every 6months
• Clean cable with a moist cloth once a month

Callers cannothear me
For Voice Tube models, determine if the voice tube is clogged orpositioned improperly.
For Noise-Cancelling models, makesure the microphone is facing yourmouth and positioned properly.
If you have a modular adapter, verifythat the transmit volume control isset properly.
Verify that the Quick Disconnect fea-ture is connected.
Make sure receivers are positionedproperly.
Make sure the plug prong or modularadapter is installed correctly.
Turn up the volume control on plugprong or modular adapter.
Adjust the headband by lengtheningor shortening the band.
Use optional headband pad.
Adjust the tone control to the “ ”position.
Adjust the tone control to the “ ”position.
