Welcome to the May/June edition of our Organization Training and Development Newsletter. Mental Health Awareness Month is in full swing, and there is a lot to be aware of. One of the things I have learned over the years as a sister, mother, friend, and woman in leadership, is that every human being has mental health ups and downs throughout life. Stress, relationship issues, and more abound. When you experience mental health struggles, you’re not alone. When you experience triumphs, you’re not alone, either. Your struggles and triumphs are, however, unique to you. A Harvard study, one of the longest (beginning in 1938), has shown that embracing community, focusing on cultivating good close relationships, embracing our passions and sense of purpose can create sustainable happiness. Simply put, everyone wants to be a part of something bigger than ourselves. That’s where we come in. We believe by prioritizing happiness in work and life, together we can create change in Santa Barbara County more than we ever thought possible. Let Gmail type your email for you That is right! Gmail has a new feature that lets Gmail type your email for you. It is called Smart Compose. It saves your time too. It is very similar to auto correct made by Apple. Steps on how to use this feature is go to settings, find the options that said “try the new Gmail.” Once this is activated, go back to settings and click the box “enable experimental access.” And there you go, smart compose is ready to go.

Clear out inbox junk “Labels” are designed to file messages in an overcrowded inbox quickly. In the Labels section of your Settings, you can find ways to hide any label or category you don’t usually grab from the label list. You will probably notice the categories from

seeing them on the left side of your inbox. You can easily shrink the number of things you don’t need to see.

Controlling Conflict, Stress, and Time in a Customer Service

Environment Working at a customer support center or help desk environment can be challenging. Customers can sometimes be demanding and unreasonable. Understanding the emotional needs of each customer, adapting to how they communicate, and solving their problems can be extremely stressful and time consuming. In this course, you'll learn how to identify and resolve conflict, negotiate with customers, develop strategies to better manage time and stress, and explore how a positive approach and attitude can benefit customer interactions and bring them to a satisfactory conclusion. Objectives
