a set of achievements, - skills, understandings and personal attributes – that make graduates more likely to gain employment and be successful in their chosen occupations, which benefits themselves, the workforce, the community and the economy (HEA, 2012).

• behavioural – enthusiasm, adaptability, resilience, thoroughness

• work-related – team-working, time management, customer service, consistency, reliability

Business and customer awareness – business success, innovation and taking calculated risks, customer satisfaction and customer loyalty.

Application of numeracy – general mathematical awareness and its application in practical contexts

People who were aware of offenders doing Community Payback work in the local area had lower levels of confidence in the effectiveness of the CJS than those who weren’t (36% and 43% respectively) (Home Office, November 2011)
