REALITY OF THE WORD:

This deals with the word showing explaining firstly who the word is, John1:1, 14.

The believer is one who is born of the word 1Pet1:23 and thus is to live by the word.

Growth is by the word 1Pet2:2

2Tim3:15-17 explains the Scriptures as inspired of God and any material which does not take its authority is not inspired, that is a material, preaching, book is said to be inspired to the degree where it takes its authority from the Scriptures.

The documentation of the Bible is inspired of God however not all statements made in the Bible is from God.

The word is a person and to understand the bible is to see everything from the Christ’s centered point of view, Luke24:25-27.

God's word has integrity Hebrews6:13-20. God's promise was fulfilled in the person of Jesus. God kept to his promise thus we can safely rest on the reality that his word has integrity.

For the believer thus to make progress he must:

a) Hear the word

b) Read the word

REALITY OF OUR REDEMPTION.

What redemption is.

What was the price paid for man's redemption?

Understanding the concept of shedding of blood.

What is eternal security of salvation?

REALITY OF THE INDWELLING OF THE SPIRIT.

The promise of the spirit given in Ezk36:26-27.

The 4 gospels also lends credence to this through Jesus own words in John14:16-17, Luke24:49, Acts1:8.

How was this promise fulfilled?

At what point does a man see this fulfillment.

What is baptism of the spirit?

What are the proofs of the indwelling of the spirit?

REALITY OF THE NEW CREATION.

The emphasis here is to understand John3:1-8, relating it with 1Corinthians5:17, that is examining:

The new birth.

Romans10:8-10, 1Peter1:23.

Understanding how the new creation is birth by the word of God.

REALITY OF OUR AUTHORITY WITH THE FATHER.

Emphasis here is on the name of Jesus.

Examine who he was in the four gospels and who he is to us today.

The difference in his name in the gospels and the epistle.

Does the believer have the name of Jesus? If yes, how?

What can we do today in and through that name?

REALITY OF OUR FELLOWSHIP WITH THE FATHER.

This basically emphasizes the relationship we have with God.

Is fellowship different from relationship?

REALITY OF OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

What is righteousness?

Why the need for righteousness?

Examining the redemptive work of Jesus and how it makes us righteous.

Abraham as a case study.

What we can do today because of righteousness
