Emerson vapor recovery systems Featuring Copeland Scroll compressors Lost revenue, regulatory compliance The combination of lost gas revenue and increased regulatory demands related to gas venting and flaring, has accelerated the adoption of emissions reduction technology by the hydrocarbon processing industry. One emissions reduction approach, commonly known as a vapor recovery unit (VRU), can be an effective approach. These compressor based systems are frequently applied to capture conventional stock tank vapors. However, traditional VRU package designs and associated compressor technology have been regarded as maintenance intensive, resulting in uneconomical operating costs and are often abandoned. Recognizing the challenge facing industry, Emerson developed and field proved a unique vapor recovery system that combines robust gas compressor technology with established lean/rich gas processing principles.

Configurable for site & process conditions

• Programmable controls to process gas basedon composition

• Flow rates of 5-100 mcfd, discharge pressures to150 psig

• Sitepowerflexibility–single/threephase, 240/480V accepted

• 0-100% duty cycle eliminates continuous runtime orby passing

Significantly lower maintenance

• Oil system integrity - proprietary design inhibits hydrocarbon dilution

• No shaft seals, alignment checks, belts or couplings

• Extremelylowoilcarryover-lessthan1ppm,independentofflow

Unsurpassed emissions reduction

• ZeroVOCemissions–hermeticcompressoreliminatesshaft seals

• Ultra low noise levels - virtually vibration free, smooth operation

• Reducedtankventingfrompressurespikes–automaticpressure control

Process industry design & quality

• Conforms to industry standards - Class I, Div II,ASME vessels

• Automated scrubber liquids removal - gas pressure vs mechanical pump

• Data collection capability - emissions data andprocess conditions
